Lmao. I already said in another post that he needs to work on getting further in his progression more consistently. What i'm arguing is that he CAN'T do it. Because he can and i've seen it numerous times.

I haven't read through this entire thread but that being said, there are some hyperbole posters, and funny trolls but the question remains; why would the 9ers give a guy the biggest guaranteed money in the history of the nfl and make him one of the highest paid players in the league when he cannot CONSISTENTLY go through his progressions as of yet? That seems like a major, major gamble.

I think kap is otherworldly in terms of athleticism, much like our very own Cam but when he has yet to show proficiency in this department and what separates the elite passers to the average it makes no sense to give him that kind of money. That is mine and many others point. You face the very real possibility that he cannot, his athleticism will diminish, he ups the chances of getting injured with his style of play. Non bias perspective it seems like a risky move because he's going to have to shoulder the load eventually in these next six years when you guys have a very hard time retaining the talent you have because of his cap hit.

But if youre going to have one reliable wideout, it gets pretty bad when he's as slow as Boldin. Especially in games where you lose Vernon. Like the game against you guys and the game against the colts. Boldin had no chance and we were pretty much screwed.

I dont really care to hear you complain about pass pro cam newton has been hit/sacked while throwing 467 times the last 3 years the most by any quarterback by a wide margin but hes still able to make due with an even less than stellar supporting cast than kapernick has. Imagine cam on the niners then youd witness a qb deserving of a contract that kapernick just signed

I've often wondered if a team is better off signing a qb like kapernick to an expensive contract that hampers the team or replacing him. I was hoping the 9ers would try that theory out and harbaugh would try to replace him.

 

Remember, this is the NFL. They can always cut him when they want.

Krapernick IS going to get injured and be out atleast 16 games in the next 2-3 seasons, and other than his mobility, he as a passer is on par with The Golden Calf of Bristol. You could throw Joe fuging Webb onto the Niners the past 2 years and they'd make the playoffs and win a game or two. Harbaugh is an elite coach with a top 5 o line, top 10 run game, top 5 defense. They won despite Krapernick not because of him. Now when you lose guys like Aldon Smith because of this contract you better be content with being a yearly 6-10 to 9-7 team like the Cowboys.
