Kaepernick gets mega-deal

Cary Kollins

Yes...............one could say that Jim H.  could have never gotten his team into the playoffs without Kaep there to make the 49ers tick.

One could say that currently Ron or the Panthers' D can get us into the playoffs without Cam to help us tick...

So the defense or offensive line is invisible? Does Frank Gore not exist? Really??? SMH.

Im talking about targets he throws to. Our offense has hardly included throwing to Gore since Harbaugh became coach. Not only that, but Gore did not exist vs. Seattle. Our oline is great at run blocking, not at pass. Not only that but our right tackle was playing with one arm. Had shoulder surgery after the season.

They just paid him over 20 million per year. In the nfl you should only pay a guy that much if he is irreplaceable as a quarterback. Unfortunately for the 49ers, the only part of kaepernick's game that is irreplaceable is his running. Alex Smith got this same team to the nfccg. With how stacked the 9ers are, you do not need and can't afford to pay him as an elite quarterback talent because he can't make those throws. Yes he can run and make coverages breakdown at times, but he is not a guy that from the pocket throws people open like; Rodgers, Brees, Peyton, and Brady.

When I said stacked I was talking about the team and not just targets.

The line's strength is run blocking(has been that way for years) but they are still above average in terms of pass protection.

Kaep consistently has time to throw the ball and it's a fact that he struggles through progressions. There was an article on FO that pointed out that flaw. I myself noticed this when watching him.

Boldin might be "slow" but that has NEVER stopped him from getting open or making contested catches. Davis is a legit threat as well. Run game is a big plus and opens things up for pass plays(and Kaep's scrambles.)

Because i enjoy shutting yall up everytime you try to hate on Kap lol

KAP is pretty much a terrible passer. Armani edwards would probably give him a run for his money in that department (you probably already know who he is since you like hanging out in a panther forum, weird?)

Anywho, rest assure I won't be in a 49er forum having a pissing contest with its members when Cam gets a larger deal than that clown.

Say good bye to your high profile players because of this deal.

Yes.  You'd have an argument if we made it to the playoffs with any other qb under Rivera.           Since we haven't.... all you can do is assume.  ;)

JH taking his team deep into the playoffs with Alex Smith in '11..and in '12 going 6-2 before Smith was injured... is not something that can be assumed - It's fact.       JH is the one that makes that team tick,  and I honestly believe he can put his team in the best position to win,  with most of the qbs in the league.

Would not surprise me if when Kaep gets injured at some point,  that Gabbert comes in and somehow........looks like a great qb.

Yeah but the same coach who you so hail prefers Kap over Smith? Should that not tell you something? That he feels Kap gives his team the best chance at a title?

Again yall smith lovers...he did it in 2011 when our d was at its peak and lead the league in turnovers....when we had the easiest schedule in the league....when Harbaughs shifts and formations still confused defenses. Smith did well at the beginning of 2012....before our defense fell apart and started giving up 30 a game. Smith would have lost all those games and he woudnt have made it through this year with no targets and facing the best defenses.

Yes Boldins never had a problem. He's also not consistently faced #1 corners for a verg long time. Torrey Smith and Fitz were his #1 receivers. He was literally all we had at receiver for quite a while last season.
