When Stauskas gets drafted he will have one of the highest Body to fat ratiio's among NBA SG's. Not really sure it means anything, just an interesting statistic on him.

Watching him play doesn't scream athleticism or anything like that, he looks like a good solid Bench scorer.

I went to more bobcats games when Morrison was here. I loved watching him in college. I cried for joy when we drafted him. I always had an Adam Morrison bobble head on my desk at school. I wore an adam Morrison jersey almost every day. I knew all of his nicknames, like grat mustachio, great vanilla earthquake, disco thunder dunk and so on. People knew me as the guy that was in love with Adam Morrison. If anybody knows adam Morrison it is me. Stauskas is not more athletic than Morrison. I promise you that.

Without a doubt he is...

You obviously haven't seen Michigan play.

In fact, Stauskas' vert is half a foot higher than Morrison's lol.

That's because he's one the biggest shooting guards in the draft. He's got a much bigger frame for weight.

I'd rather have Saric, but I wouldn't be upset at getting Stauskas. At worst he's a very solid bench scorer who can give you 20 minutes and 10-15ppg a night as a 6th man type of player. If he develops and adds some muscle to his frame, he could develop into a very strong bully type of SG who can drive and score in the paint add that to his outside shot and you have a pretty solid contributor offensively.

His defense will be his biggest question mark in the NBA though.

I agree defense is a question mark for Stuaskas.

And that's fine that you like Saric (I don't even know who I wan't), I'm just trying to dispel the myth that Stauskas is Morrison 2.0.

If you want to make an argument make it for McDermott.

Let's see... played at a smaller school, competition wasn't that good, led the nation in scoring... not very athletic...

That's probably your best comparison.

When he was here meaning that he was playing for the Bobcats organization.

And there was still some enthusiasm for Morrison after his first year. He averaged nearly 12 points per game and a lot of people thought he could become a really good player if he could just be consistent.

Unfortunately, Morrison never got that consistency down and he flamed out because teams were only giving him 10 day contracts or only playing him for five minutes a game. For a guy with consistency issues that's not a good deal because if you only have ten days (which amounts to about four games) to prove your worth and you're struggling with consistency, then you're out of luck.

The point is, the Morrison comparison isn't that bad. Adam could ball (go check out some of his games on YouTube), the problem was that you couldn't have a guy starting who may get you 30 points or he might only get you 3.

Oh and for reference, Stauskas is much more athletic and a much better ball-handler than Morrison. Put Morrison's highlights on your computer next to Stauskas' and you'll see a huge difference.

If Stauskas is consistent, he'll be a solid ball player. You can already see in workouts that his game will transfer to the next level. I was worried about whether or not the extra few feet would matter for the three point shot, but you can tell in work outs that it clearly doesn't.

You typed all that just to basically say the same things I said? I didn't say you gave up on him as soon as he laced them up. I said it dissipated over time, so why the details? Same thing, lol. Most players are "more athletic" these days than similar players years ago were, but relatively speaking, Stauskas is probably more un-athletic when compared to other players in this draft class than Morrison was to those in his, lol.

That I will agree with, guys like Gordon and Vonleh will be going top 8 just based on pure athleticism... which is somewhat crazy.... but I guess if they work out.

Embiid and Kwame Brown's games are nothing alike. If Embiid busts, he'll be more like Oden or Olowokandi than Kwame Brown, who plays facing the basket and smaller than his height.

Like I said, Stauskas offers nothing you can find on an NBA scrapheap somewhere.

Yea just like how Stauskas and Carroll's games are nothing alike.

Everything is not symmetrical. Embiid and K Brown not having anywhere close to the same game does not mean that Carroll and Stauskas also don't. Same style of play and athletic limitations, and Stauskas isn't even as quick as Carroll on top of that.

You don't plan on your #9 pick being a "bench scorer." As for Saric, a 6'11 guy who continuously prefers layups over dunks from 3 feet out is a joke.

The Hornets desperately need to trade out of #9.

By that argument, Dirk Nowitzki is a joke...

Saric is just your typical finesse European player, and for the most part those types of players have been successful NBA players.
