I'm not comparing them based on race. It just so happens that they all happen to be white.

MKG is considered a bust right now, too, but his game is completely different from Stauskas, McDermott, Jimmer, Carroll, and Adam Morrison. The fact that they're white is incidental. I'm not going to compare them to Darius Miles either, who was a bust, because they are nothing like him.

I'm also tired of white Charlotteans constantly pumping up white players whenever they're projected to go in the lottery, when anyone looking at their games can see they aren't worth it. Gordon Hayward, yes. All the rest of these guys are weak.

What are you talking about?

Yes! Yes, you are comparing them based on race. We'll, it look that way.

And what does MKG have to do with this?

Plus, the Charlotteans are never pumping/hyping these white players up. No one here wanted Morrison or Zeller as their first or even second option. I haven't seen more than 2 huddlers who would actually like to see McDermott here. I would be the first to go on a killing spree if we take McD at no9.

You saying that doesn't make any of it so.

I explained what MKG had to do with it. I'm comparing "like players." I called Stauskas Carroll 2.0 and Morrison-hyped by white Charlotte because that's who his game is like. I didn't compare him to Gordon Hayward, because he couldn't wash Hayward's jock, nor did I compare him to Darius Miles or MKG because their games are nothing alike, so why would I?

Wow!!!!

Making yourself look terribly bad by committing to the Stauskas-Morrison comparison.

Joel Embiid is Kwame Brown. Right?

Nope, still not what he said. He compared Stauskas to Carroll. Said he was being hyped like Morrison.

First, Carroll. Now, Jimmer.

Fuggn fans need to quit comparing players on race!!!! He's nothing like Carroll or Jimmer.

Carroll is a piece of $hit. Jimmer was a JJ Reddick like.

The thing that separate Stauskas from them is his ability with the ball!!!!! The guy can move around others with the ball. He's Gordon Hayward like. Can create shot for himself, not just shooting the ball deep in college.

His game is more European than the natural white boys. Bc he is Canadian Lithuanian.

You literally just described Adam Morrsion. In college Morrison would have wiped the floor with Stauskas.. And where is the great mustachio now?

I feel like no one here was actually a fan when Morrison was here...

Morrison had skill and talent, he was just amazingly inconsistent and very unathletic. Look at his game log... He'd drop 26 points, 22 points, 27 points, 23 points and then all of a sudden he'd have games where he's scoring only 2 points, 4 points, 2 points, and 3 points. Teams started honing in on him and he was so un-athletic that if someone played tight defense on him, it was over for Morrison.

I will say that Morrison's tape and Stauskas' tape looks very similar but in my opinion Stauskas is a much more athletic player.

The key is consistency. If Stauskas can transfer his game to the next level and stay consistent, he could be a 15+ point player night in and night out.

Jeez, most here have no clue how poor the FA market is. Plus the opinion of current/future players have about the hornets. Before big al(which was part luck) name the last big name FA to sign here? If lance is willing to listen, I sure hope the hornets make a offer. Lance is just like d jack, id welcome his baggage. Why, cause the market sucks and players don't want to come and play for less. Queen james is bad mofo that would scare any sane player, but lance made a fool of himself showing off his huge balls.

Exactly.

Consistency + athletic

Morrison was never the athlete Stauskas is. Morrison was almost a smaller or poo Dirk Nowitzki. His game was nothing but catch and shoot. Stauskas' game is more European. He's a pretty advanced ball handler. Can dribble off you and create his own shot. His game imo is more Hayward and Manu.

If you can't dribble the ball in the NBA your game will be very limited. Just look at MKG.

Embiid and Kwame Brown's games are nothing alike. If Embiid busts, he'll be more like Oden or Olowokandi than Kwame Brown, who plays facing the basket and smaller than his height.

Like I said, Stauskas offers nothing you can find on an NBA scrapheap somewhere.

"When he was here" is different than before he was drafted. I said people were calling into local radio, and believe me, I listened to Primetime with the Packman every day, and all you heard were white men calling into the show about how much they wanted Adam Morrison, and then after he got drafted they were calling in to talk about how happy they were about it. Like everything, it took a while, but that enthusiasm eventually dissipated after he started playing.

So when do you want to start the "was here" period? Right after he was drafted, or after it became clear that he in fact wasn't the next Larry Bird? http://www.basketballforum.com/charlotte-hornets/283545-charlotte-picks-adam-morrison.html

When he was here meaning that he was playing for the Bobcats organization.

And there was still some enthusiasm for Morrison after his first year. He averaged nearly 12 points per game and a lot of people thought he could become a really good player if he could just be consistent.

Unfortunately, Morrison never got that consistency down and he flamed out because teams were only giving him 10 day contracts or only playing him for five minutes a game. For a guy with consistency issues that's not a good deal because if you only have ten days (which amounts to about four games) to prove your worth and you're struggling with consistency, then you're out of luck.

The point is, the Morrison comparison isn't that bad. Adam could ball (go check out some of his games on YouTube), the problem was that you couldn't have a guy starting who may get you 30 points or he might only get you 3.

Oh and for reference, Stauskas is much more athletic and a much better ball-handler than Morrison. Put Morrison's highlights on your computer next to Stauskas' and you'll see a huge difference.

If Stauskas is consistent, he'll be a solid ball player. You can already see in workouts that his game will transfer to the next level. I was worried about whether or not the extra few feet would matter for the three point shot, but you can tell in work outs that it clearly doesn't.

I went to more bobcats games when Morrison was here. I loved watching him in college. I cried for joy when we drafted him. I always had an Adam Morrison bobble head on my desk at school. I wore an adam Morrison jersey almost every day. I knew all of his nicknames, like grat mustachio, great vanilla earthquake, disco thunder dunk and so on. People knew me as the guy that was in love with Adam Morrison. If anybody knows adam Morrison it is me. Stauskas is not more athletic than Morrison. I promise you that.
