PFT questions Brady's place among the top quarterbacks

the Super Bowl winning Patriots were slightly ahead of their time.  they had the personnel to be a pass first or run first offense.  Now the league has widely become pass first, defenses have adjusted and although their scheme is still one of the best, defenses are better suited to stop quick passes they love.  Most importantly, NE's defense has suffered a good bit since Romeo has left.

I don't think Brady is washed up and is still among the best in the league, but I do find it interesting that the Patriots absolutely will not trade Ryan Mallett.

In years past BB would have traded him for solid draft picks in a hurry. I think the whole organization may see that the writing is on the wall with Brady, and are already planning on a future without him.

His receivers were outmatched? Eh, he had one of the top WR cores in the league.

I disagree about him having no time, even when he had time he was off target, and throwing ducks. He did not look good.

Please go back and watch the game. It's pretty clear you were either too drunk to watch closely or you had to listen on the radio or didn't watch it at all. Peyton was the only player on the field the entire game for the Broncos who wasn't a problem.

I'm curious about that too, not only did they not trade him but they drafted a QB in the 2nd round. Who's going to take his place is my question.

If you truly believe that then I'm sorry but I can't help you. I respect Peyton, and I'm not trying to dog him, but he struggled. You cannot sit here and say that the entire team except him struggled when he and the offense couldn't get a single point on the board until the 4th quarter.

There is a lot of hate for Brady on this board, but this article is sh*t.

Peyton Manning is still firmly placed in the top 3 after his recent Super Bowl performance, but Brady is washed up?

He just had the best year of any qb ever. Regardless of the Super Bowl yes he clearly is still the best. Like how are you this dumb?

Can you ever just come into a thread, and coherently state an argument without calling someone dumb? Yeah I'm sure he's thrilled about having the best statistical regular season ever while ending up on the losing end of one of the most one sided Super Bowl losses ever.

I'm out of the house right now but when I get back I'll find some film breakdown for you.

Lol, some people are hilarious. Peyton is and always has been better than Brady. Some of you use the super bowl in your argument because the Seahawks blasted the Broncos. Well Newsday, Brady doesn't play for the Seahawks, he plays for the New England cheaters. Oh, and by the way, Peyton and the Broncos beat the cheaters and Brady two weeks before that super bowl you talk about. Ole Tom choked two weeks before Peyton, and he did so against Peytons team. And I am not even a big fan of Peyton.
