I have both netflix and prime, but I rarely use prime anymore unless I'm looking for older titles.

Best thing about prime is free 2 day shipping and half off one day. Its not a bad price and they are upping the quality of what they offer. They snatched 24 from Netflix and like mentioned are getting some HBO shows.

Also you can add "family" members to your account so they can get free shipping but they can't stream. Some people would pitch in 10 bucks to get free 2 day shipping for a year.

NetFlix lost A LOT of key stuff over the past year and I have been considering going to Prime as well.

 

From what Ive read in this thread, it doesnt seem like its worth it.

 

For example, Im sure this didnt affect most of you, I got NetFlix b/c I wanted to watch Downton Abbey....well, I signed up, and they canceled their contract with Netflix, so that was a complete bust.

 

Warner Bros and other companies have taken a lot of stuff of NetFlix since they have been going through Prime....at least, that's where I thought they were going.

 

NF is alright, but Ive watched all the movies and shows that really interest me. Now I'm bored.

 

When does the new season of Orange is the New Black come out? Now that's a good NF show

Only thing I use it for is to get free shipping on books for school. I can buy $400 textbooks for 4 cents on Amazon.
