You can't be serious. You can make fun of LeBron about a lot of things, but the 07 Cavs were trash.

You have like half those starters wrong. But yeah, those Cleveland players were just as good. Hughes, Gooden, & Ilgsuskas were all very, very good in '07. Pippen was still very young and was not an all star in '91. He was very good but he wasn't great at that point.

There wasn't an all star or hofer on the 91 Bulls. Just Jordan.

Actually, Scottie Pippen was on that team and was starting to play great that year.

Also, Michael was 28 years old, where as LeBron was only 22.

Listen, Jordan is the greatest of all time, but that argument is still sh*t.  The conversation in general is dumb, actually.

Yeah, Pippen was playing so great that he didn't even make the all star team.

LeBron, age 22- NBA Rookie of the Year, NBA All Star, All NBA First Team, All NBA Second Team, Olympic Bronze Medalist

Jordan, age 22- NBA Rookie of the Year, NBA All Star, All NBA Second Team, Olympic Gold Medalist, NCAA National Champion, NCAA Player of the Year, 2x NCAA First Team All American, ACC Player of the Year

At this point Lebron is not MJ, but he is still only 29.  Who knows what the next 5-6 years will bring.

BTW, with MJ, it isn't just the 6 rings, it isn't just the amazing regular season stats, it isn't just the amazing post season stats.  It is the moments, in particular in the playoffs and especially the finals that will always stand him apart from the pack.

I mean just in the finals alone... the game 7 winning shot, the flu game, the shrug, the 41 ppg average in the '93 finals, The assist... (there are more but I will stop)

You know what that doesn't even take into the account of his other playoff moments like the Boston game and the shot against the Cavs.

It just isn't comparable to anyone, sometimes you have to look beyond stats, and beyond rings, and think about the moments.  Who had more than Jordan?

The Cavs 2nd leading scorer (Hughes) was putting up Gerald Henderson numbers while shooting 40% from the floor. Though in his defense he shot 35% during the playoffs- oh wait thats fuging terrible

Meanwhile, 25 year old Scottie Pippen was snubbed from the all-star game in '91 (after he made in 1990) while putting up 18 pts 7 reb 6 ast 2.4 stl 1 blk per game shooting 52%

Get your facts out of here.  Obviously Hughes and Ilgauskas were just as good as Pippen and Grant.  Because, you know, LeBron got swept in the Finals so that HAS to be the case to make the argument work.

The 07 Cavs remind me of the conversation at the beginning of the movie Major League:

Board Member 1: I've never heard of half of these guys and the ones I do know are way past their prime.

General Manager:  Most of these guys never had a prime.

No point comparing. Two different eras and two different positions. But in spirit of the OP, I will give my opinion which I will try to keep as unbiased as possible, but the fact that I hate Lebron makes this difficult.

MJ in my eyes will forever be GOAT. The competitiveness that he has beats out on any player since. Lebron is the most physically imposing player ever. I compare him and Magic moreso than him and MJ due to the size and passing ability.

Also Im hoping Lebron doesn't ever beat 6 championships because I am one of the ppl that feels ripped off by him teaming with Wade and Bosh. I don't blame him and don't feel it takes away from the championships or his play but on a personal note I want him to not surpass MJ for that reason.

I actually think that's a really good comparison. Magic is the only player that I can think of who was so successful as a point-forward other than LeBron.
