Favorite Team: Real Madrid

Favorite League: I watch all leagues really. More a fan of the game as a whole and individual players. If I had to pick one it would be Bundesliga.

When did you start following your team: About 16 years ago. Always loved the type of game Madrid played, Wasn't as hardcore of a fan till they signed Zidane.

Why you picked your team: Style of play primarily. But as I said above when they signed Zidane it was a done deal.

Favorite Team: Tottenham Hotspur

Favorite League: EPL - they've done a great job of self-promotion, and it's catching on more and more in the US --- WIN!

When did you start following your team: Started watching them about 6 or 7 years ago, when I made the transition to watching EPL games from MLS. Helped that that was when I also managed to pick up Fox Soccer Channel, lol.

Why you picked your team: I liked the class they displayed on the pitch and also in interviews. Have a brother who is an Arsenal fan, so I naturally had to go with their rivals

Favorite League: Barclays Premier League

But I watch every major European league.

When did you start following your team: March 2nd, 2003.

Why you picked your team: It was the 2003 League Cup Final. I didn't really like soccer, but I watched it with a United supporter who was utterly obnoxious. Had no idea about Liverpool's history at the time.

Liverpool went on to win 2-0.

Favorite Team: FC Bayern Munchen

Favorite League: Bundesliga, although I casually follow all the top leagues and have teams I like in other leagues, but I always root for the German team in International competitions, even if I do not like them.  I am a lot some obnoxious, loser SEC fan in that way.

When did you start following your team: tough to pinpoint, while I guess you could argue I picked as a co-favorite them around '04 it was not until I it became easier to find the games online that I really started paying attention, that was '07-'08

Why you picked your team: It was really the '02 World Cup that I really started liking soccer.  My family is originally from Germany so they are the non-USA country that I root for in International sports and I watched all their games.  MIroslav Klose became my favorite player.  Although I was not following club soccer back then, my roommates and I played a lot of FIFA.  I pretty much always played as either Bayern (because I was good with them) or Werder Bremen (for Klose).  The '06 World Cup reignited my enjoyment for watching soccer and I started watching matches on TV although I was not really following specific teams/leagues, or reading about them or keeping up with standings I still enjoyed watching games when they were on.  Around the time that I finally decided to start following club soccer more in depth Klose was transferred to Bayern, which pretty much sealed which club I would follow.  While I knew they were good, I had no idea that they were basically the Yankees of Germany or I may have chosen a different club.

Other teams I like: My favorite non-German teams are Lazio (because Klose is there now) and Liverpool because nearly everybody I played soccer with in HS liked United and were obnoxious pricks about it, as I have found most of their fans to be, and they hate Liverpool.  Also, the Sox owner owns them now.  I also like Perth Glory because my friend an I won a $500 bar card in a big FIFA tournament with them a couple years back.  Do not ask me how we did it because we still do not know.  I suppose my MLS team is the Rapids but I do not follow it.

Favorite team- Depends on the league really, I have a lot. MLS, ECL, EPL, Liga MX, depends really. Among them: Club Leon (LMX), Galaxy(MLS), Man U (EPL), Real Madrid. World cup I root for Mexico Obviously, but I have my favorite Euro teams and south american teams. I like Germany, Spain, England, Holland. Then in South America I like Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. There are some African teams that I enjoy watching as well.

Favorite league- Besides my local league, I love the Champions league and Euro league. They truly have the best Futbol in the world, It is a lot more exciting to watch than MLS which is actually kind of boring.

When did I start following: Depends on the team. Most of these were recent others were a long time ago, when I was in 5th grade and such. Maybe earlier. Real Madrid I followed when Hugo Sanchez was in it.

Why did I pick my teams: They all have a reason, but it is mostly because of a player I like. Real, Hugo Sanchez and Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo, Javier Chicharito Hernandez, Rooney, etc. Club Leon I started to like when I took a trip down to Leon MX, I fell in love with the city and their team had just ascended to the big leagues after a long hiatus. So I adopted them, since then they have repeated 2 Liga MX championships. :D

Favorite Team: Liverpool

When I started following them: Fifa 06? maybe... I watched a Champions League match between LFC and Chelski.  The main reason I picked them though was because I listened to a lot of pink floyd (from Liverpool) and on "Pillow of Winds" they had this weird chant that I never knew what it was. I watched a liverpool match by pure chance and they were singing the chant and I realized what it was and was hooked ever since. Now I've become somewhat obsessed with Liverpool and Major European soccer because lets face it, MLB, NBA, and Nascar have all fallen off. They are more like WWE now.

I will basically watch any team and any league at any time of the day. Family lineage is from Liverpool, and my father was a Liverpudlian, but my allegiances aren't as strong. I live in Atlanta now and already have my season tix reserved for the 2017 season. Played on various select teams in the 90s in the triangle, NC ODP, etc until college. Opted to just stop there as I wanted to focus on studies and not athletics. Probably wouldn't have been much better than an average D2 player.

Favorite players: Stevie G, Tim Howard, Jan Vertonghen. Not afraid to admit that CR7 is the most exciting player to watch in my opinion.

Favorite Team: Arsenal

Favorite League: EPL

When did you start following your team: Um, I believe I was about 10 years old, so about 14 years ago.

Why you picked your team: Loved the way they moved the ball and played. Henry was my favorite player at the time and they were my FIFA go to team. Been a big fan of only them ever since.

We're also considering adding bocce ball and tetherball talk to this forum, FYI

Sent from my iPhone while admiring feet using CarolinaHuddle

I was watching cricket a few months back on ESPN3.  I would not be able to carry on a conversation about it other than to say Bangladesh seemed to be doing well.

    • What I really learned here is that the Carolina Panthers aren't anywhere near as bad as I initially thought they were earlier this year.  We've got a young and growing offense with some promising parts. But it still needs some tweaks and improvements.  We really still could still use a dominant #1 WR. But Chubba,  Legette, Coker,  and J.Sanders have generally looked decent. Bryce took a big leap after the benching. We can score enough points to keep pace with 2x defending super bowl champions, so offense isn't a huge issue. Main thing that needs improvement is defense. We sorely need a CB 2, and a number of new players at Dline and LB.  We're not quite as bad at edge with Wonnum showing promise.  But we definitely need 1 or 2 more edges Clowney is old.  Run D is probably worse prevailing theme these past couple years. We really need a good young stud or two to pair with Derrick Brown and another LB to pair up with Trevin Wallace. If Morgan and Canales can focus on rebuilding the defense this off-season and possibly going out and getting a #1 WR. This team could easily be somewhere around 7-10 to 10-7 and flirting with playoffs in 1 or 2 seasons. Overall this game has made me feel alot more positive about the direction of the team.
    • With our picks we need pass rush, lb, Safety, a speedster yac wr, o line depth and I still want a mid round qb. We got 9 picks and 8 in the first 5 rounds. If they pull Off another solid draft we be cooking.
    • We had one passing touchdown against the Giants and one passing touchdown against the Chiefs today. Yes a good backup can replicate that. And that is why Andy Dalton in significantly less games has the same number of 30 point outings as Bryce Young. I am on board with you guys about wanting to be hopeful for the future. Today was a good performance to build on especially at home. But let's please keep things in perspective. BTW the Bucs who honestly aren't even that good blew the doors off the Giants today after we went to overtime against them with 17 points. Again. Perspective.
