Hopefully you are right, but I don't see any way you are right now. If we were to bring in one more top class striker, then possibly. Chelsea were phenomenal at the back last year, and they just got far more potent up top. Arsenal have their weaknesses, but their midfield will dominate play. And City are City. If Aguero is healthy, they will be lethal.

Am I picking us to win the league?  Absolutely not, I think City will again if I was a betting man.  I see no team that is clearly better than us though.  Like you said Chelsea has a great defense, but they're putting A LOT of weight on the shoulders of Costa.  He looks like the real deal but sometimes it takes players a while to get going on a new club, and I've always thought he was overrated anyways.  Same with Arsenal and Sanchez really, Arsenal's midfield is stacked but without a true striker they won't win the league.  Sanchez probably can be that guy, but I think they'll need him to score at least 15 goals, probably closer to 20 this season if they want to win the league.  United, well I'm not sure how to rate their chances.  I don't see them finishing ahead of Liverpool though.  So I mean what I'm trying to say is Arsenal and Chelsea both could be much improved, but who knows how their new forwards will work out.  Both of those teams are REALLY counting on their new signings up top.

Meanwhile, Liverpool already has a guy that's gonna easily put in 20+ goals up top as long as he stays healthy and our young players like Coutinho and Sterling are only going to get better and bolster the attack.  Liverpool also undoubtedly improved their midfield and defense.  Do we have the best chances?  No.  But I give us a preseason like 10% chance to win this thing.

I can get on board with a 10-20% chance I suppose. I think Costa will provide more goals for Chelsea than anyone did for them last year, and they weren't far off the title last year. They also added Fabregas, who I still think is a quality player. They have a loaded midfield, and now a striker with good UCL experience and coming off a league title of his own. I personally think Chelsea are the favorites, City 2nd, Arsenal 3rd, and Liverpool 4th.

I think that Arsenal and Liverpool will be a close race for 3rd-4th. It could go either way, and may come down to the January window. I really wish Liverpool would work on a top class striker to help Sturridge out. I guess there are 2 weeks left in the window.

Yeah, I'm thinking third or fourth but all I'm saying is I won't be totally shocked if we win.  Yeah, I wish we would too especially because Sturridge is always going to have injury concerns I'm afraid.  I'm really PUMPED about the Origi signing (he's 19!!!!!!!!!!!!) but obviously he won't be a help to us until next year.  I guess we could still make a push at Cavani or Falcao, not sure we have the funds for either.  I'm not even sure who all is out there.

Yea. Origi is a great investment for the future. He is powerful and quick. It will be good for him to stay at Lille one more season.

Cavani and Falcao are both on £300,000/week at their respective clubs, and I'm afraid we're just not going to break our wage scale to bring them in, even if the transfer fee could be achieved. I'm not 100% sure why we aren't in for Marco Reus. He's on £65,000/week at Dortmund, so even if we doubled his wages, he's still well within our wage scale. I bet he could be had for £40m too. He's versatile and can occupy the #9 role or slip out wide and play as a scoring winger. Exactly the type of attacker Rodgers likes.

We'll see. Maybe Rodgers is working on a surprise.
