I know, I know ... MLS. But New York City FC introduced Frank Lampard today and he'll join David Villa in the teams first season in 2015. I want to get tickets but they're playing in Yankee Stadium the first season or two. I'll wait til they get their soccer field built.

Damn.. I always liked Villa. Wish he'd have joined the Lions, because that would make pulling for the local team easier to stomach thanks to Kaka being there.

But New York can keep that prick Lampard.

I will be getting season tickets, in probably the supporters section. Pretty cheap. $350 for the season. Yankee Stadium is pretty good and has good sight lines. Only problem is it's in the Bronx...

345,000 shirts sold in 48 hrs. That's incredible. Thanks Colombia for funding James' transfer.

20 million bucks recovered in 48 hours. At this rate, Real Madrid will have recovered all of it's investment back next week.

The website I linked didn't say anything about monetary value. It said 345,000 shirts were sold. That's it. There's no implying there. Whether you choose to believe the reports legitimacy/numbers accuracy is up to you.

Pretty sure this is why Arsen replied like that. Yeah they are selling tons of shirts and they are making $$$, their actual profit is not totally different to what a lot of media/fans imply.

Adidas will get a major chunk of the sales but at the rate this is progressing Real might see a nice amount returned.

Real makes annually $350-$400 million on sale of merchandize.  That's a lot of money.  People in Spain are crazy about their teams.  People in 3rd would countries usually don't pay $100 for jerseys.  When I used to live abroad I saw fakes sold everywhere for $20 and they looked and felt authentic.

They're making a decent amount of money at a pretty fast rate. The biggest reason his shirt is selling so well is because Colombian's are buying it in droves. So I don't think it's inaccurate to say Colombian's will fund a pretty sizable portion of the transfer.

So soccer works there? I go to a lot of Yankees games, and the trip isn't too bad. I just figured soccer wouldn't work there. Maybe I'll do it! Ha, I want to come up with a chant.

Poor Wenger is getting old.  He just told this to reporters:

"You know at the start Szczensy will be the No. 1, then again we'll be down to performances and, if Ospina shows that he is better, he will play," he said.

Ospina was not officially annouced yet.  Wenger slipped.

Adam Lallana out for six weeks after straining his LCL in training today. Great.

Sent from my SCH-I545 using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

Oh damn... Gonna miss 4 EPL games.  Looks like Markovic will start.  That's 2 big games... Manchester City and Spurs.
