I don't think all money go to Real Madrid.

That's not even close to what 345K shirts would bring in so that 20m number could be pretty close to accurate. Either way, they're making their investment back at a ridiculous pace.

Happy days for me! Spurs signed both Vorm and Davies, who looked really good in his first stint in Toronto. Takes care of two needs, and offloaded Siggy to Swansea, which lightens our midfield.

The Toronto game made it blatantly obvious that we need to offload Dawson and find another CB. I'd still like to see us pick another clinical striker, but Lamella coming good would help alleviate the concern in the front three. Our defense should be the focal point though, even though Verts is still out of preseason due to the WC duty.

At times, we looked very porous.

20m divide by 375k will equal to 58 pounds or $100.  That's how much jersey cost not how much club makes.  Big difference.  Adidas pays Real Madrid 26m pounds a year and they own a right to sale  Real Madrid brand merchandise plus supply the team with all needs in return.  Adidas sales Real Madrid stuff and gets about 85% of all profits.  In average, large European clubs make only 9 pounds per shirt.  So, multiple 10 pounds by 375k and u got 3.38m pounds.  Not even half a James annual salary.

Do you honestly think sports clubs get 100% of profits from jersey sales? LOL!  Sponsors like Nike and Adidas get their money back from jersey sales.  That's why Nike dumped Manchester United because Manchester does not buy anyone exciting.

The real winner is Adidas.  They got their money back.

For instance...  In NFL teams get only 12% of sale.

In a good year, a typical NFL team makes about $5 million off merchandise sales, which worldwide totaled $3.2 billion in 2006. However, because of a wacky economic scheme, the teams don’t benefit all that much, sharing only about 12% of the wholesale price of an item.

I read multiple articles that state... Oh this team sold 30 jerseys for $100 each so they made $3,000!  That's terrible reporting and person that writes these articles lacks common understanding how sports sponsorship business works.

If Pepsi puts Panthers logo and picture of Cam Newton on every can.... Should Pepsi give 100% of it's revenue to Carolina Panthers? Think about it.

I must have missed where I said that they get 100% back....

Multiple websites report that Real Madrid almost made all their money back on jersey sales alone, one of those website is a link you posted. They don't say it buy they clearly implying it. I said its incorrect and I showed you why it's incorrect.

I read comment section and all Real Madrid fans acting like they got James for free. That's far from reality.

I know, I know ... MLS. But New York City FC introduced Frank Lampard today and he'll join David Villa in the teams first season in 2015. I want to get tickets but they're playing in Yankee Stadium the first season or two. I'll wait til they get their soccer field built.

Nice. MLS the retirement community.

The website I linked didn't say anything about monetary value. It said 345,000 shirts were sold. That's it. There's no implying there. Whether you choose to believe the reports legitimacy/numbers accuracy is up to you.
