I read those and let my hopes get up. No way it happens. I think the club have already come and rubbished the rumors. Could be a smoke screen, but I say less than 5% chance it happens.

Bad report.  He only makes £70,000 in Madrid.  Madrid offered him a new £80,000 contract but he rejected it and demanded £200,000.  He knew Real Madrid would not give him that money and would sell him instead.  Long story short, Khedira wanted out and he demanded outrage pay to get his point across.  Arsenal will pay him maybe £100,000 if that. 

 

Khedira friends with Podolski and Ozil.  I think this is the reason he wants to join Arsenal.

We need a defensive presence. Not a carbon copy of Isco. Khedira has been injury prone but he's provided some serious muscle in the midfield. Perez, I hope you sign the right player.

 

James fills Di Maria's role, not Khedira. They're also gunning for Veratti too. That would fill the Khedira role quite well.

You can't be serious. Isco is being compared to as the next Iniesta. At any rate, James is more of a LW and Isco is more of a CAM. We're loaded with LWs. If anybody would be left out in the cold with our pursuit of James, it'd be Di Maria.

 

 

Dude, James does not fill Di Maria's role. He's a pure #10. There's basically no need for him, especially with Isco and Kroos on the team. We should be spending all of our funds on Vidal, Pogba or Verratti, and on a defender like J. Boateng.

 

 

So is he more of a LW or more of a pure 10? If they're nothing alike why would Di Maria be the one left out?

James is actually pretty versatile. He can certainly play as a 10, as well as on the wing and would potentially make a pretty bad ass false 9. Not to mention he's a world class talent at only 23 years old. You don't turn down the opportunity to bring in that kind of player if you're Real Madrid. Especially when said world class talent has already expressed his long desire to play for Madrid. Sorry, give me James over Isco or Di Maria any day, and I'm incredibly fond of Di Maria and Isco as well...

 

As for upgrading at Defensive Mid? RM will find the money. They're likely shipping out Di Maria, Khedira and potentially Benzema. They'll have money to bring in a quality Defensive Mid.

I wouldn't go into Real Madrid sites and blogs with that belief because they would laugh at you. As versatile and talented as James is as a prospect, the numbers don't lie. Isco is a proven talent. Rodriguez, however, is not. Look at the stats. Isco dominates him virtually everywhere and he's not even a full-time starter yet. It's unanimous that Isco is the superior passer and creator as well. In addition, when analyzing the numbers, James had an average 13-14 season for Monaco. Yes, he had a great World Cup but so did Mexico's Dos Santos (offensively and defensively). If we sign James for £70m+ it's not because he's a legitimate stud. It's because Perez wants to sell jerseys. It'll be 2002 all over again where revenue was more important than wins. So, in this case, we should forego signing James (at least for now) and go after Verratti instead.

Benzema isn't going anywhere. He just signed an extension.

James averages a goal every 3.65 appearances Isco every 4.73

 

James averages an assist every 6.02 appearances Isco every 8.35

 

Again, I'm a huge fan of Isco, but James is the better player right now. Whether Isco will reach the Iniesta status some have already placed on him remains to be seen.

As for Benzema's extension, it's been rumored he signed one but there hasn't been an official release from the club. If he truly had signed an extension over a month ago when the rumors started the club would have announced it by now. Not saying there will not be an extension, there probably will be. But it's not official yet. Either way they're selling Morata too, so the point still stands. They can find the money for James and a quality Defensive Mid.

Again, Isco isn't even starting and he's graded out to be the more efficient midfielder by every stat site.

 

If James was that talented, then we would've already placed Isco on the market and committed to the James cause. The fact is we're committed to Isco because he's not only the future to Real Madrid but Spanish soccer. Iniesta and Xabi have endorsed him as the next big thing.

 

Or because they have three world class caliber midfielders and they're selling one. Nope, that can't be it...

That means nothing regarding who is more talented. At this point, there is no debate. Isco is proven despite playing 700+ less minutes than James.
