"All they need is a QB" is a pretty huge statement when you're a WR on the tail end of your prime.

There's zero chance he comes here.

 

He's still creating a needless distraction for his teammates. Maybe if he would stop and think and consider that one of the contributing factors to the circumstances that his team is currently in with the QB situation is because of how much they've invested in him. Look up his contract.

 

The signing bonus hit stays with the Texans and becomes due in its entirety. Any team trading would take on the salary.

Andre Johnson has never been a distraction before.  When a guy has a decade plus in the league of being a great player as well as reportedly being a great teammate and citizen, well I tend to give the guy the benefit of the doubt.  I think he's earned it.  He's certainly been a far superior player than the Texans have been a franchise.

Nobody wants Amendola.

Someone out there wants us to have Amendola.  Otherwise that far fetched,  out of left field,  rumor,  from that dumb site,  would have never been started.

 

 

It did spawn a few pages of Panther fans talking about Amendola and the quality of the rumor.

 

 

Andre began as a dumb rumor also.    Just saying,  Since neither will be on our team,  I'd rather read through and see a huge thread about Andre,  the guy that has averaged 1,500 yards a year over these last two years,  opposed to one devoted to Amendola.                One poor rumor makes me :)  the other poor rumor makes me :(

If he was truly concerned with the talent around him then he wouldn't be sitting out right now. Nor would he have held out in 2010 for the contract that at the time made him the highest paid WR in the NFL, and still currently has him sitting as the highest paid player on the team.

 

He's a very talented player, but it's a pretty hypocritical situation, and hopefully he comes to his senses soon.

Just fan speculation, nothing more. But I'm glad Gettleman didn't follow fan speculation, Gordon just popped with another off the field issue. Talking about a distraction.

We have a need at OT and DG said we did not have the money to sign a vet in FA...yet some think we should sign up for $10+ million a year for a 33 yo WR.

If you take a look at the site that started it, they have "rumors" about the Cowboys trading Morris Claiborne to the Cardinals for  Morris Claiborne for Larry Foote or the Vikes for Chad Greenway.  A quick look at the Cardinals depth chart would tell you that trade idea is ridiculous.  They ad other supposed rumors too, inclusing one where the Vikings would trade away Adrian Peterson and Christian Ponder because they want to start teddy Bridgewater.

 

It's a stupid site made by some guys with no connections to anyone, so they're making up rumors to get attention.

Funny how everyone cried over Smith & said but but but we didn't even ask him to take a pay cut..

Now the same people are rambling arghh e makes too much money it'll never happen stop fantasizing about stupid ideas..

Andre knows how much he's making and that he's gonna have to take a pay cut to play elsewhere. I'd say he thought that through before making those comments.
