Madden Cover Finals: Cam Newton vs Richard Sherman

Those were obviously people that didn't know or just decided to tack it on. The Madden Curse was directly related to injuries of the player the same year he donned the cover...

 

Yeah. I guess my point was, the curse has been expanded over the years so that now almost anything bad can be arguably called being hit by the curse.

 

You're right it was originally related to injuries though and that's usually what the curse is. Especially because a lot of the time a running back coming off a great year gets on and of course running backs coming off amazing years have usually had a huge workload and get hurt the next year. Either way the curse is dumb.

I'm going to keep voting Cam, but I hate contests where they don't show vote totals after you vote. I've always been a conspiratard when it comes to behind the scenes vote tallying, just like I hate the lottery system in the NBA because they don't show you the physical ball being pulled from the machine. I'm sure they've IP proofed this contest so multiple votes probably don't count but every 24 hours. At the same time it wouldn't surprise me if they've already chosen Sherman as the cover athlete considering they shy away from showing total votes after your vote.

E&Y audits the NBA lottery - doubt it's rigged. And even if they did show it, that doesn't prevent it from being rigged anymore than the current system.
