That sounds nice but I asked about the actual contest rules. You can't just have a national contest without the fine print being available to read.

Is it really a national contest or a poll?  Not sure if a fine print is needed for poll when the people voting don't actually win anything for voting in the poll.  

 

The chance to win a copy of the game on the same page as the poll probably should have some fine print available though.

We could put in a billion votes for Cam..

 

 

but the end result will probably be something along the lines of 1 million total votes..

 

750k of them for Sherman,  250k of them for Cam or something.    They have been propping Sherman up relentlessly for the Madden Cover vote.    No way they let their little hell raiser lose out.         His little rant gave them something to talk about for months.

Cam loses this one and possibly the next one........and then in a couple years,  they'll make it so Cam is on the cover and they'll make a huge deal out of it...  since he came so close so many times...and they'll milk the hell out of it.

That's the thing on something like American Idol the fine print says the producers reserve all rights to void public voting.

The fact that anyone cares who is on the cover of an XBox game is the really humorous aspect of this.

 

If you really care....you need to find a hobby or a life.

So what is worse? Obsessing over fans who obsess about their favorite player being on the cover of a game they play?

Or just being a condescending jerk to folks who happen to want their favorite player on the cover of one of the most popular sports game ever?

You decide.

 

 

I would personally say I have a pretty good life going for myself with plenty of hobbies and yet I would still be pretty damn happy to see my favorite player in all of sports make it to the cover of a video game I like to play.

 

There is a difference between obsessing endlessly and caring.  I don't see how caring if the QB of your favorite team makes it to the cover of Madden, a game they may play, means you lack a hobby or a life.  All I see in this thread are guys having a bunch of fun.  The only people who seem to be taking anything serious in this thread are the posters such as yourself (and you are a fantastic poster, don't get me wrong) with comments such as that.

Cam Newton has twice went out of his way to make videos looking to persuade people to vote for him.  So he obviously cares about who is on the cover of an Xbox game.  I don't think anyone would argue that Cam Newton doesn't have a life.

Damm, I wish I would have put more time and effort into mine. Yours is much more eloquent.
