With all the legal issues the nfl is facing regarding concussions and the short and long term effects, why in the world would they be ok with allowing a mind altering drug to go with a minor penalty. Personally, I think they are setting themselves up to show they have done their due diligence in trying to prevent any drug related injuries, mental or physical for any future lawsuits..

As far as Irsay goes, if convicted, he should be suspended for 2 years at the least, and a decent portion of his profits during that time used for addiction recovery and prevention programs for NFL players and the youth programs affilated with the NFL.

Dumbass, got suspended last year and still didn't learn his lesson. If any layman gets busted for a failed drug test at work they get fired, they don't get 3 lives. Good look finding a decent job with that on the resume. Some people just don't get it.

 

I'm all about the medical benefits of pot but the fact remains its an illegal drug. It may be harmless in the sanctuary of your own house but get behind the wheel and you're a danger to yourself and others, just like booze.
