The Panthers Have Signed 2nd Round Pick Kony Ealy

Dig on this....Third and 9, Atlanta ball. CJ, Ealy, Star, and Hardy rush, with TD coming on a blitz. Total annihilation of Matty Ass.

The best thing about this post is that with all that firepower you mentioned, we still have the defensive player of the year diagnosing the play like a heat seeking missle.  Good times.

Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

Its hard to completely soak in how Crazy good our front 7 is.

Our D-line alone is nothing short of beast. I'm really Excited to see how our coaches use Ealy

Yea Beast for now. But by next year the beast might be dead. Depending on what happens with Hardy and if we can even get him to sign long term before the dead line in a matter of weeks. Also whether CJ will be around next year. If we can't resign Hardy and CJ gets cut because of his large cap number. Our DE position maybe a big ? going into next offseason. So it is nasty now. But my fear is what will our front 4 look like come next offseason. That's the major problem right there. Glad we got Ealy in the draft. But could take him a few years to really develope What will happen to our front 4.

People don't like this pic. This guy was pegged as a 1st rounder by some. This is value. Even if the guy we wanted was there, this guy falls, you jump on it. We got our secondary and OL help too. I thought this, like the entire draft, was the best we've had in years, if not ever.

This was a solid pick, to extend what Sauce is saying.

I do not understand people questioning picks based on immediate need.  Why Ealy?  We have 2 DEs? CJ is underperforming his contract and Hardy wants to be paid like a 15-sack DE when he did it once.  While I do not think Ealy was a first-round talent, I think he was high to mid second round.  We got value.

Tyler Gaffney is another pick that drew criticism.  Let's see--he is a solid, smart RB who can pick up blitzes and catch the ball.  Our current RBs are either over 30 or often injured.  Tolbert is not a 20-carry-per-game back.  Barner may not make the team, but he is nothing more than a 3rd down scat back on a good day.  Gaffney in the sixth round?  A steal.  He will be a fan favorite in about 2-3 years, imo.

These rookies are signing 4-year deals.  Most rookies do not impress until year 2.  So why are people thinking that filling immediate needs with rookies is a good plan?  It is not.  Rookies are building the future, free agents fill immediate needs.

Short and Star should develop in to pro bowlers in the next couple seasons. I'm not that worried about the interior D-line for the coming years and if Ealy turns out to be what he is supposed to be then our D-line should be fine. I think we keep one of Hardy and CJ too honestly.
