Prediction: Kelvin Benjamin > Sammy Watkins

Recommended Posts

Watkins has much better hands and better routes at this point however, KB is raw and with a little experience can be scary good.

His hands are better? I dont watch college ball but just the little that Ive seen shows KB to have outstanding hands. Watkins has better? Or is he just more refined like you say and better "prepared" for the catch?

Looks like 13's hands are pretty good to me though.

The difference being that the majority of Lafell's drop's were in crucial situations and 3rd downs;  Lafell did his part to lose us at least one game this season (Arizona).  You don't realize how much the momentum of a game can  change due to drive stalling out.

On the other hand, KB dropped balls when Florida State was already blowing someone out, and caught everything when it mattered.

he dropped balls in big games so don't try to make something up.

Roto World put out some stats a few months back about the top 4 WRs in the draft (Watkins, Evans, KB and Lee). One category was drops which the writer defined as easy drops out of hands not catchable balls. Last year KB dropped 9.68% of balls thrown his way. Watkins dropped 4.49%. Now in KBs defense Watkins caught a lot more screens which are much easier than even a basic out pattern.

Lol, you're an idiot Tarhole homer.  FSU's closest game beside the national championship was Boston College, who they still beat by two touchdowns, the rest were wins by 28+++ points.  So please, do show me what "big games" Benjamin dropped a ball and hurt the team?

Timing though, what these guys are talking about is when did those drops come. Thats much more important to me than the total. Thank you though for that

LOL being a Tar Heel homer has nothing to do with the subject. he dropped multiple passes in multiple games the fact he had a great team behind him doesn't change that fact. Things will be a lot tighter with the Panthers which is a concern.it is just fortuante for him he was on such a good team. I guess roto world is a Tar Heel homer too along with cbs sportline, espn,sbnation...

Well the fact is many players don't play well in blow out games, simply because they play too relaxed and play down to the level of their competition.  You said I was wrong, yet you can't site any situations where I was wrong.  Florida State played one close game the entire season, and Benjamin caught the game winning touchdown, end of story.

I said he dropped balls in big games you said he didn't. Now you say he plays down to his competition so we cannot count on him against weaker teams? The fact remains he drops too many passes and that has to change.

He didn't say 'he played down to the competition'. He was talking about the moment.

And you still haven't acknowledged that your statement regarding "big games" was a false one.

You would have been better to take your argument in another direction.

so he didn't drop passes in big games? Nothing I said was false least of all that. He said many don't play well in blowout games they play down to their competition in the context of Benjamin so yes he did say he played down to the competition, unless that was just an observation about other players which is nonsensical.

My argument is he drops a lot of passes and in previous discussions dropped passes is/has been  a major issue.

So does he "drop a lot of passes"; "drop passes in big games"; which is it? Lol.

Just admit it. You made a flip statement with out knowing "The Real Deal", and now won't back away from it. It's okay.

Let's face it: No one that watched FSU games are worried about KB dropping balls. Cause not only did he make a lot of tough, spectacular catches, but he also made those (and more Pedestrian catches) when they counted/meant something. So most don't feel the way you do. Who care's if a WR drops balls when his team is up 20 trying to make it 27. That can be worked on.

So just let it go. Point taken.

Both,he drops passes in every game.that is the real deal. it is not deniable. The scouting reports no matter who you read all say he drops too many passes so saying nobody worries about it is just wrong. It is a concern to those who honestly look at the situation.  since it is undeniable now you just want to play it off. The original point was if dropping 6 passes in a season is a concern why is it not one when he drops 3+ in games?
