The guy has a lot of potential and I sure hope he does become the panthers top WR for the next 10 years but to say better than Watkins is a very bold statement but then again how many times has those can't miss players get drafted in the top 10 and end up becoming a bust? Look at the 2005 NFL draft, 6 WRS taken in the first and only one is still playing and he was the last WR drafted in the first with the #27 pick, Roddy White. Braylon Edwards, Troy Williamson, Mike Williams, Matt Jones, Mark Clayton were the others drafted in the 1st round. Who knows maybe its time we finally got lucky on WRs in the Draft for once.

 

what does the 27th pick have to do with Benjamin?

cam's passes hurt.   i can tell just from looking at them.  we had a kid in high school i couldn't catch because he threw it too hard.   never had that problem with anyone else.

 

Did you wear gloves?  I had a issue with a similar rocket throwing QB, I finally hopped shipo to the gloved people and I never felt the ball again, it just sticks lol

I think the better you are at receiving the better you can catch bullets without it hurting unless every wr in the nfl would be complaining about bullet passes.

Watkins is a threat to score every time he has the ball, from anywhere on the field. To me KB is half WR, half TE - could be a great cross of the two, but I'd take Watkin's potential any time.

cam throws harder than most qbs in the nfl.  especially the noodle arms.

 

smitty had trouble hanging on to them too, and i don't think anyone is questioning his ability as far as that goes.

 

Funny. I never noticed Smitty having any particular problems catching Cam balls. 

 

Just cause he responded/cracked a joke about Cam's bullets last season (if that's what you're referencing), doesn't mean he had problems catching his balls in the real world, on the field.

You're going to always drop balls for a multiplicity of reasons (especially with Smitty's erosion of skills last season). 

 

However, in Cam's first two seasons, Smitty caught pretty much everything thrown his way. 

 

Still don't know what your referencing that's out of the ordinary. So we'll just have to agree to disagree from here.

I guess you haven't seen/noticed him run (before and after the catch). 

 

He's very fluid and shifty. 

 

Im not sure I alluded to him NOT being fluid and shifty. He maintains speed well, he just doesnt stop start very well. His legs dont have a lot of POP explosion hence the mediocre acceleration and vert. His legs seem to have endurance though (another basketball trait maybe)?

 

He's fluid and shifty because of his balance not because of strength in his legs. He's is very coordinated for 6'5.

most of cam's interceptions and tipped balls come from him throwing lasers.   i don't see what is so hard to understand aboutthat.
