For those commenting about Cam's abs, or lack of, you're a fatass idiot who knows nothing about working out.

 

Obviously Cam has been in a boot, so his mobility is limited while he rehabs.  During rehab he needs to be taking in a calorie excess in order to promote muscle growth.  Of course he's not going to be in peak shape during this time, but it's also May.  Cam has a body that's going to cut down quickly, and at his size, he'll probably only have to drop 5-10 lbs max.

Agreed my black and yellow friend.  But, the one thing I noticed at Wofford last year was that the entire team did the instructed stretch or yoga formation on que except for #89.

 

As the whole team, including Cam etc. acted as one, SS would stand up and walk around and do his own thing.  He was never a member of the team, he acted as an individual. 

 

If I noticed it, I am sure Dave noticed it.

Is he officially 6'6? I was wondering how tall he was because I saw him next to Olsen and thought to myself he looked a bit taller. The measurements you posted would explain it if accurate. Where did you find your info? Just curious.

Cam Newton-

HT: 6'5" WT: 248LBS.

ARM LENGTH: 33 3/4"

Colin Kaepernick-

HT: 6'5" WT: 233LBS.

ARM LENGTH: 33 1/2"

They are near identical. The only difference is Cam have a thicker frame. Colin has a lot more muscle mass, he's just got a thinner frame. Cam has dropped a little weight since then, whereas Colin has added quite a bit. There's probably less than a 5lb difference in their size now.

Cam is a single 25 year old kid. Steve is a grown man in his mid 30s with a wife and four children. That's a father figure, not a buddy. Steve even alluded to his relationship with Cam in an interview before last season. He joked about how Cam's biggest responsibility is feeding his dog, whereas he has a wife and kids to take care of and all sorts of responsibilities. He pretty much said while they have a good relationship they're at different stages in their life and that's okay.

You have to look at them as people, not just athletes.

I'm 25 and one of my closest friends is 34. He is a very close family friend and was like a big brother when I was little. We almost never hang out. We talk on occasion and will hang out 4-5 times a year, usually around holidays with our families. I'm 25 with no wife or kids, he's married with kids.

Just because you never saw pics of Cam & Steve hanging out doesn't mean they didn't like each other.

Colin is jacked. He went overboard on the weight lifting and has put on a lot of muscle mass since the combine 3 years ago. On the other hand, Cam has actually slimmed down some and weighed less last year than he did at the combine. There was only a 15lb difference then, it's even less now.
