Cam's new weapons

Recommended Posts

Several game winning drives. Got it done when it mattered. I'll take that over stats any day.

We'll see a better shula now that we have a good interior line to run the ball and we have WRs that suit what we wana do. You know, guys that aren't 5'9 and we have receivers who can catch the ball ( lafell Ginn had the dropsies)

I credit Cam for the game winning drives, not Shula.

But still I think you're right we'll see a better offense this year.

Check the defensive stats and the way Rivera coached in years one and two compared to three.

First two years the defense stated on the field and were worn out by Chud's Madden offense.

Last year Shula owned the time of possession and kept Carolina's defense on the sideline.

Still doesn't explain the changes that Rivera made. Remember most people had thrown in the towel on Shula and Rivera after the Buffalo game.

People seriously underrate ginn. Like really really really underestimate him. I agree with your opinion on number 1 and 2 but smith would've been nice to keep

I understand your point but keep in mind for this thread specifically I am talking about receiving threats for Cam. Ginn's KR/PR ability shouldn't weigh on this conversation.

Defense.

The difference between the '11 and '12 Panthers and the '13 Panthers is about as good example possible in how an efficient offense helps a defense. It blows my mind that Panthers fans that have witnessed it first hand don't understand this.

Some of you seem to forget that offense and defense have an effect on each other. If the panthers had chud last year and ran his bs (drives that last 2 minutes) the defense wouldn't have been ranked nearly as high due to being on the field forever.

I definitely think the offense needs to improve but I don't think it was anywhere near as bad as some posters choose to believe.

The offense was bad ie bottom half of the league. Anything less than a top 10 O and D is unacceptable.

With how good our D is we should be scoring 30 points a game. ie more stops / better field position / more possessions etc.

You're right thats because  most people are fuggin tools. Let me be a little more nice.. Sorry I am at work today.. Freedom never stops right?

Most people especially on the huddle get lost in the numbers and stats and always wish to have that perfect Madden game on television on Sunday.. Not realizing that actually Madden is a video game and just isn't real football. Not only that but people get too caught up in one thing and automaticly blame a loss on that and will always find a scapegoat.. Hell Zod was the main contributor of that all of last year.. I remember I came on this same freaking board after the Seahawks game and said holy poo this is going to be a hell of a team and had to try to explain why Rivera and Shula did a great job in that game..

It's funny that you guys are already setting yourselves up for Shula to be that same scapegoat already just so that you have something to blame when something goes wrong.

Let the boys play... Also yes.. Considering my first post.. If it weren't for that boring Shula offense that grinds out the clock and keeps the defense off the field do you really believe we would have had the #2 defense in the league last year? No... Im sorry it just wouldn't have been the case. That offense actually won more games then you'd believe by keeping them fresh then you would argue lost us.

Again.. 12 - 4... Fuggin 12 and 4... You guys had us pegged at a .500 season last year and some below.
