Drafted, signed, waived (all in about two weeks)

The Seahawks have reportedly waived their sixth round pick, OT Garrett Scott (Marshall) because of a heart condition discovered during his physical.

Scott was signed to a four-year contract just yesterday.

and finding out you have a heart condition that at the least might keep you out of the game you worked so hard to be a part of and could be something that is a major issue for the rest of his life?

I'm surprised things like this don't happen more often. I honestly wonder how teams' can have accurate physicals on a thousand or so eligible draft prospects.
