Desir is a zone press corner. He would've at least been familiar with the techniques our scheme uses. He was a fit. Not sure if the coaching staff was high on him or not (no one does really) but he had a lot of the attributes we seem to be interested in.

Well that makes Desir being taken a pick before ours suck even more. The Boston pick and the comments Gettleman hinted at with our 4th and 5th round picks make me think Desir was the corner he wanted in the fourth. Cleveland decided to take another cornerback. They sign Joe Haden, pick the best cornerback in the first with Gilbert, then take Desir. They do all this while avoiding a wide receiver knowing their top wide out could be suspended.

They may have screwed themselves, and in my opinion took the corner we would have taken.
