Chris Gamble was probably the second best corner this team ever had (behind Eric Davis) and he actually did play receiver at Ohio State, but as a Panther he dropped so many possible interceptions I lost count.

He had 1 drop in his combine video. Thats actually one of his strengths. His weakness is his speed and probably will struggle in one on one coverage

Fact is, that we'll never know if he could have made it as a WR or not. We can surmise, but we'll never know.  Had he been somewhere else where they didn't have a star-studded group, then perhaps he would have gotten his chance, so "horrible" is somewhat hyperbolic.

 

He is a corner now and his biggest knock is his so-so speed (as has been stated), not his inability to catch a ball. A corner's main job is to stop a WR from catching the ball. If a corner gets some pics here and there (like G-man believes that he will), it's a bonus.
