"Athlete" is an overrated term.

Wall is a turnover machine with no half court offensive game and he does not make his teammates around him better.

That's what 90% of CLT homers say. Not what the other 120% non CLT fans believe

If Kemba played in the New York market this wasn't be the case.  Do we over-hype him? Probably.  But at the same time NOBODY watched Bobcats games including Espn.  Was Jeremy Lin that good?  No but he played in New York and therefore got hyped.  Maybe the Hornets will get more national tv games and more coverage than the Bobcats, but only time will tell.

Let's be honest about Kemba.

 

First half of the season: Great shooting, not good distributing the ball

Second half: Terrible shooting and very good distributing the ball

 

The main thing for him is consistency. if he can shoot like the first half and distribute like the second half and be that player year around we have an all-star.

 

If we don't we have ourselves this debate every year.
