GM RICH CHO

Recommended Posts

I don't understand the hate for Kemba or Cho. Cho brought in some good players, hell he got big Al to come here. Hes a young guy and has proven that he has the potential to help build a big time team like OKC.

MKG was the BPA at the time, and he honestly has shown that he has the ability, IMO to make a huge difference on this team. He was the reason we even had a sniff at winning game 2. Bismack is a project and I think we all realized that when he was drafted. I love Biz. He's improved every year on both sides of the ball. Hes still only like 22 or something like that.

To knock him for Zeller is just dumb. Zeller is another guy who has shown flashes and has grown over the course of the year.

Let's make no mistake about this, MJ got Al here... Al just signed the contract that Rich drew up.

I'll give Cho a pass for now as we really haven't had the staff to develop players. Also, it takes about 3 years for a player to really come into their own in the NBA so we are just starting to get into the window of k owing how well his draft piacks have panned out.

In the end I don't see us keeping the #9 pick. There are a few teams without picks this year that will hopefully want in pretty bad. Ie Knicks, Nets, Wizards, Pistons etc

Can't fault Cho at all, MKG was the consensus #2 player in that draft. Plus Bizmack and Kemba. Zeller has a ton of upside. There all developmental guys though outside of Kemba who's made a significant stride since being drafted.

On top of that the Bizmack trade ended up netting us maggette who ended up getting us the #9 pick.

So basically Charlotte traded Stephen Jackson, Livingston, #19 pick for Bizmack and a future #9 pick in a deep draft.

The other two players drafted in that trade..... Tobias Harris and Jimmer Fredette.

Lmao, talking about a steal.

Gordon or Smart if they fell.

Maybe a Harris or Stauskas.

I don't know a lot about the Bulls, but from what I hear they're going to pay Augustin plus they have Butler and Rose coming back. Don't think they have a need for Smart to move up.

Don't they have Gibson, Dunleavy, and Boozer? I know you're high on Gordon but they're not giving up two picks to go get him. I can see him falling to 9 though.

Why move up for Staukus when Harris, Hood, or Hairston will most likely be there at 16?

Not trying to be an a-hole, I just do think giving up two picks for 9 is realistic.

no way we trade Kemba.. Kemba recruited Al to come here.

if we package picks with players- the players that will most likely be traded are Hendo, Biz, Neal, Zeller and possibly MKG. They are the only players under contract that have value and we would be willing to move

We desperately need a scorer and you're worried he may draft one of the best scorers in college basketball history?

Bismack is developing into a great rim protector. You do remember that the '09 draft was terrible, right? Biz was the right pick. He's still only 21 years old.

MKG is developing into an elite perimeter defender. If Price can fix his jumper he'll be an all star. He's still only 20 years old.

Zeller made the all-rookie team despite very limited minutes and has an extremely high ceiling.

You better hope that McDermott is the 2nd coming of Kevin Love. I remembered Reddick and Morrison shooting lights out in college too. What happened?

McDermott will have to play PF in the NBA if he wish to have anything close to success. He doesn't have the athleticism to play against these NBA SF. There's no reason to play with the idea of drafting McDermott if you don't think he will be able to play inside. The man is not a great rebounder and terrible below the rim! Don't forget to mention his defense. Unless he can shoot the ball consistently in the NBA and work on his REBOUNDING, something like Kevin Love I would not touch him. I'm not going to play him as a stretch 4 either. Zeller was drafted to shoot the ball. Plus he's already doesn't play defense and an average rebounder.

Let me correct you. It's the "2011" draft, not 09'. That draft was def not "Terrible". Guys we passed up on for Biz: Klay, Leonard, the Morris brothers, Vucevic, Faried, and even Tobias Harris.

MKG is coming along, but you cannot argue that Cho mightve love to have Drummond or Beal right now.

And, you're going to really brag about Zeller making the 2nd team? Wow. It was obvious he had a good chance of making it. All of this show that the 2013 draft was really that damn terrible! Eight players who was drafted 5+ picks after Zeller made the damn team. C'mon. Give me a worthy player who Zeller beat out for a spot? Exactly, none.

Also...

Funny you left out Cho drafting Kemba midway thru the '09 draft, & he's arguably the best player from that entire draft.

You also left out that Cho has done a phenomenal job with trades and raped do many teams in dumping old players and stockpiling draft picks.

Kemba was the obvious pick! Omfg.

And, seriously it's the 2011 draft!!!! You look like a dumbass right now. I guess Kemba is better than Irving, Klay, Leonard, and Faried?

LOL. Just stop.

Funny man. You don't even know what you're talking about.

Irving is the most overrated player in the NBA and is made of glass. Kemba has owned him numerous times.

Klay is a flat out terrible defensive player and a one-dimensional offensive player who is a volume chucker.

Leonard is a marginal role player. He plays for arguably the greatest basketball coach ever. He's purely a product of a system and would be nothing on a lesser team where he wasn't the 4th-5th option.
