Just started playing FPS's online....questions.

Been trying different guns and love the AK5C for all around weapon. Tried out the AEK, but really didn't like it. I did better once I got a reflex for it but if I want something for that close of a CQC, the PDW CZ 381 is the best. Since I like to run engineer mostly, I've been trying all the carbines out and overall I like the ak5c for big boards, acw-r for smaller boards, and CZ-381 or AS Val for up close CQC.

Loved the AWS and used it for a while, but after I decided to go back and try the MG249 ( re skinned MG4 with slightly different recoil patter) that gun is a beast, even in CQC. In Assault, the SCAR H is really good gun of you can learn how to use it well, but the new Ar160 is beast!

For the OP, I would suggest hardcore mode play. Not having that crosshair up all the time teaches you to have you aim pretty straight before you start shooting which is key, when you run up on someone, the difference between winning the battle or losing is that half second of aiming and shooting. Hardcore help make it more automatic getting you aim on.

Anyone on here KeepPounding59? If so, I was your teamate that was throwing flares on your camped sniper spot and getting you killed! Lol

The SCAR just feels way too weird for my liking. I pretty much run engineer or sniper all the time, but when I go assault, I mix it up. M416 is probably my best setup for assault right now, but that's due to having the most unlocked for it and the most time on it. I keep trying new weapons to try and get an edge, but it's tough.

I used the Scar only at first when I began to play and was going 1-10 and hated it. After reading a bunch of threads calling it and the AK5C on of the best guns in game, I went back to the a few weeks ago and really loved them, especially at mid and long range, scar has slow rate of fire but heavy damage model so it comes down to be able to be really accurate with it. Miss a few bullets and you're done, but get accurate hits and you'll out shoot most guns at range. I tried the M4 which is very similar, but I really didn't like it, especially at longer distances where I expected it to excel, for it to be burst fire only, it has a ton of vertical recoil making it hard to quick make further shots, at least for me. To get bullets on target at range, I had to burst really slow bc of recoil, which in a quick face off was usually a loss against some of the better mid range assault and carbines.

I'm purposely going back and playing with a bunch of different guns and having lots of fun. Ace 52 and Ace 23 are must try if you haven't yet. Also, the CZ-381 carbine is a CQC beast if you can control it, definitely worth a try for anyone that hasn't. Has a 1000 ROF
