It's really not the media's fault they just do what gets views. it's the public's fault. the public wants Cam to be a villain, thus ESPN is going to show that stuff. The public likes Johnny Manziel, thus they are going to slob on him. They aren't doing it for any other reason other than views.

I disagree. I think it's the opposite. ESPN and the news in general can influence a viewer's perception of what is happening in the world (Fox vs. CNN vs. MSNBC, etc) so if they make Johnny Manziel out to be the lead story all the time, the public will react as though Johnny Manziel is themost important figure in the NFL at the moment.

In the old days it was that recognition of the power of the media that made it a priority to report fairly, but once news started becoming more about the entertainment value than the news itself, it became "what can we do to start a conversation to stay relevant in the ratings?"

It's not like ESPN has a responsibility to be bound by that integrity anyway. Nowhere in those initials does it say anything about "News."

I'd like to know what the bench was saying to him. I'm pretty sure the finger would be justified if we knew that. Besides, didn't know flipping the bird was such a deplorable act. There are far worse things on tv people love to eat up. You guys have hated him since college. Your opinions about him were set no matter what he is gonna do.

That's the thing, he better quickly develop as a pocket passer because he, at least from today's game, does not have the speed to elude defenders at this level. I don't hate him or love him so I don't really care...

No this is all about people like you not liking his character and using that as a guise to claim this kid can't play when he's shown nothing but the opposite. People like Mr. Scot are a prime example of this. His bias and many others like him see this getting raging boners to bash this kid because he isn't getting the same treatment others got to try to punish him but that's beyond childish and lame.
