Manziel Not Impressing

Back in the days of Broadway Joe, you could probably get away with partying all the time if you were a superior talent.  As competitive as the league is today, I wouldn't put any bets on that bing possible anymore, but it would seem Manziel believes he can do just that.  My guess is he'll learn otherwise.

To tell you the truth though, I don't have much of an issue with guys wanting to have fun.  What I'd have a big issue with as a Browns fan though is the question of whether or not he actually cares about succeeding or only cares about being famous.  People who care about winning put in the work necessary to do so.  It's yet to be seen whether Manziel will do that or not.

My personal read: I think even if Manziel is the biggest bust in history, he really won't give a flying rip as long as he's having a good time.  Tha, in my opinion, is a whole lot worse thing than excessive partying.

You can be forgiven for being a party animal.  Forgiveness for letting your team down though?  That's a lot harder to come by.

I think the word I am looking for is "Selfish". He seems to care more about himself, than football. I mean it really looks like the first thing he does when he gets any free time, is party.

Functionally alcoholic comes to mind. You never see him without a drink, and looking/acting drunk. And the people he hangs around with are the ones twitting out his antics. If he cared about his image, he would be more careful about who, what, and where he was doing his non football stuff.

Personally I don't care. Not being a Browns fan and all. I just hate seeing someone throw away a football career that way too many kids would die to have.

Who gives a fug and why?

It's one thing to hold the kid to a certain standard as a collegiate player, but he's no longer in college, so who cares? He turned professional when he was drafted, the Cleveland Browns made the decision to draft him and pay him. Wake me up when/if he gets arrested or there suddenly appears a poo-ton of guns in his apartment.

The only thing I care about is that this fool is getting so much airtime wasted on him on my morning radio programs. I listened to some moron talking about the Patriots didn't draft Manziel bc the Patriots are the greatest organization ever and blah blah blah. No, the Patriots didn't draft Manziel bc they already have a HOF QB under center, idiots.

Anyways, back on topic, I hope this idiot gets it together so I don't have to hear about him anymore. Either way, I don't think he's long for this league.

Honestly, I don't know which is more sad, watching him throw all of those bad throws or listening to those on ESPN defend him so he can take the job from Hoya.

Even worst is listening to Gruden defend RG 3 bad throw and quick desire to run at any chance. He says it's his natural instinct and shouldn't be forced to change. I can remember when those same folks on ESPN/NFL were saying that Cam will never make a good QB until he learns to sit in the pocket. The pressure that was placed on Cam was ridiculous. They are now singing a different tune

Gruden also said that RG3 was the one who brought the read option into the league. It almost made me want to throw my drink at the screen.
