Manziel Not Impressing

I watch a lot of NFC East games, RG3 is quite patient in the pocket. If the play call ask for a single read that's what he does. Football is not freelancing. The Shanahans offense did have mostly one read kind of plays but for the plays where he had to go 1,2, and 3 that's what he did. With Morgan Moses now on the right side he'll put up gaudy numbers. Not to mention he's an accurate passer. That deep ball of his. Don't worry about RG3, he's not busting. I looked at his stats, he still manage to rake in over 3000 yards in 12 games. And that was a horrible year where everything around him was falling apart. He'll have a good career in the league, he has a nice skill set.

Wait... You actually think RG3 will last in the league??... Okay...

So can you run a 4.68?

I know for sure because he sucked in college. That Texas A&M team will for 3 straight year send 3 OT in the top 10. That means for the time Joeckel was there Matthews was the RT. The time Matthews was there last year Cedric Ogbuhei was the RT, a projected top 10 pick for 2015. That's insane. So he had 10 seconds to wait for Evans to get open and run backward for another 10. That ain't working in a grown man's league. There are Ealys and Clowneys everywhere in this league. No, it's not idiotic to predict that he'll bust. AJ McCarron was the victim of having a great OL, why the hell Manziel is given a pass. Oh, because he can run a slow 4.68? Come on, now!

It's not a Panthers so I could give two shits about what he's doing.  Is he a The Golden Calf of Bristol, idk and idc because when we play the Browns it doesn't matter, the boys in electric blue got this.

It's the off season, you have something else to talk about. It hurts you people talk about Manziel? Lol. Wow, so many billie jeans.

Let's try this again. Try reading it slowly if it helps...

It is very possible to believe that Manziel will suck in his future pro career (I'm one of the people who believes that's what will happen in time).

It is idiotic / ignorant / premature / stupid / ill-informed / ridiculous to claim that you know for sure right now that he already does suck as a pro after just a couple of days of minicamp.

That's pretty much as plainly as I can put it. If that's beyond your capability to comprehend, I can't help you.

I was thinking of that quote

One of my all-time favorite movies, with one of my all-time favorite actors.

Wow, just wow. I take it you have never read the book "How to Win Friends & Influence People" by Dale Carnegie? Cuz your civil skills could use a little honing. I ain't gonna lie. When you stay away from the condescending attitude, and quit with the name calling. I find you funny. But by all means, to each their own.

This shows how much of a complete dumbass you truly are.

When Manziel signed with A&M, Mike Sherman (the current OC of the Miami Dolphins), who ran more pro-style concepts in his offense, was the head coach, not spread-offense Kevin Sumlin.

stop with the insults.

He sure is... when his single read is open.

Sometimes a player has to run the plays that's called. RG3 march down the field countless times in 2 minute drills picking apart the defense. The kid is an accurate passer. You can wish him injury all you want that ain't gonna change.

Manziel will be day one starter.  People aren't going to pack that stadium or tune in on TV to see Hoyer.

Really!! And how do you see that? Hoyer was doing good until he got hurt last year. If he comes out doing good again and gets Cleveland to the playoffs. Then Johnny is screwed. Plus the owner ain't going to put Johnny in there and pull a QB who is winning games. If they are winning games then the staduim will sale out period.

ESPN.com Browns beat writer Pat McManamon:

"Browns playbook is Manziel's first

...

the playbook that Manziel received from the Browns was the first one he had been given in his football career. At Texas A&M, Manziel ran a group of plays given to him from week to week.

This flashed me back immediately to Tim Couch, who played in the NFL after not having a playbook in college. Everyone knows what happened to Couch, but the story became a big deal when folks learned Couch did not have a playbook at Kentucky. With Manziel, it was barely a blip on the radar.

...

It's all part of Manziel's transition as he goes from celebrated college star to ... ahem ... NFL backup."
