Hurst Impressing

We can't fix every problem on the team in one draft.

If Benjamin turns into a stud #1 receiver, Ealy gives us flexibility in regards to CJ and Hardy, Trai Turner is a solid starter on our interior line, and Gaffney gives us flexibility in regards to our billion dollar backfield, I don't know how you can begin to complain about this draft simply because we didn't take a Tackle at some point.

Thing is we didn't have to draft Hurst. He was available as a UDFA.

Technically you can. It would just take a lights out scouting department to hit homeruns in the later rounds and in UDFA. 

 

I can complain because I find it hard to believe that all our picks will be good players and that there will not be any late OT's to excel in the NFL.

Problem with that is there is no guarantee he will sign with "x" team. If you feel he can be a good starter in the league you draft him late unless you are 100% positive you can get him in UDFA.

Yeah, right! No one is pushing anything.  Appears to me like guys are just being too damned sensitive to admit that their precious G-man is not perfect. 

 

Like I've always said, I support G-man, but not to the point where I am not going to question any moves that I don't agree with. 

 

Furthermore, I have already explained why people would bring Hurst up, and it makes sense, even if you don't agree with it.

 

EVERY team passed on Hurst for 7 rounds....just like we did.

 

18 teams offered him an UDFA contract...I bet we are one of them.

 

Based on this....we made the correct decision.  He just picked a different team.

I don't know where people find the energy to overanalyze what Gettleman should've been thinking in the late round/UDFA to make this a real pressing issue

GM's are wrong every year in regards to evaluations. 

 

If DG can find better options then great. If not, he deserves some criticism. 

 

I will be the first one to eat some crow. Although, I am still optimistic about him patching this up, albeit even if I am still annoyed with how the draft and FA are playing out.

The only reason hurst contained clowney is because they didnt run to that side and got the ball out of renners hands quick. All he had to do was hold him for a second or two

We can say the same thing about any drafted player or FA acquisition.

Might not of been said already, but even in highlights you can see physical attributes like agility, speed, strength, and quickness.
