Bonnell Believes Hornets Will Make Run At Love

Recommended Posts

Love is a west coast guy who wants to play on a contender.

Trying to sell him on Charlotte, NC...on a team more inept than his own the last few years, would be nearly impossible IMO. Big Al is a stud and Kemba is a nice player, but it still isn't the draw that playing with Curry would have for him, or Noah/Rose, or Kobe, or CP3/Blake, or whatever else he chooses.

CP3 has never won anything in the NBA and has had good teams in Clipper land.... Blake and Love play the same position... Noah..yea, but Who's this Rose guy.... He hasn't played a full season since when?

No one knows what Kobe is going to show up...

I understand Curry though, the others don't make sense winning wise at all....

I could see Charlotte actually having a legit argument against the above teams mentioned. Kemba, Jefferson and Love would be able to put up points in a hurry on anyone. Add a SG like Stephenson or Hayward and bam...

Clippers will have to send Blake to Minny. D Jordan won't do it.

and CP3 is Melo 2.0.

If you look hard at it, Charlotte do have a good chance at Love. Jefferson will help draw guys here.

If we did get Love, our core guys will be Kemba, Love, and Al. Our 20 mil in cap space will all go to Love. No $$$$ to bring in any guys here.

We'd have to ship out 15m just to get him, so we'd still have 15 in cap space for one more player or too resign Kemba.

    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
    • He is a diva, even with Baltimore winning, he will cry and pout and ask to be traded. He cares about his numbers and stats for his next contract. Ironically, his best chance to showcase his ability was with us, now he is just an afterthought.
