WFNZ update

I notice that every couple months the quality of local “Sports Talk Radio” comes up on this board. I just wanted to offer a little different perspective.

Presently I live in the beautiful town of Bryson City, NC with 1 local radio station. (Gospel/Bluegrass) I was born, raised, and lived in Charlotte until age 40 and took a job in Western NC.

Still have family in Charlotte, so when in town, I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to listen to free “over the air” radio discussing the Carolina Panthers. (AM 610 and 730)

My point is that fans living in Charlotte have a simple opportunity that the rest of us don’t necessarily have. (Good or Bad)

Tune in radio app.. 610 wfnz....listen anywhere. If you dare.

Remember that time Brent Jensen posted on here not as himself after he was fired, then someone called him out, then he back-tracked and created another profile claiming ignorance, then the thread got deleted????

Remember that?

Like Tantric said, you can listen live with the wfnz app. I prefer listening on my own time so I subscribe to their podcasts on my iphone. You can also listen to them directly from their website on demand too (both options are commercials free). I'd try it out if you're able to. I live here in Charlotte and definitely take advantage; other than a few local podcasts, they are the only place for full time panther coverage

I'm still a Gerry V fan, even though he has been in that shithole New Orleans for over a decade now.  He apparently did great work down there during Katrina.

I still remember when "Mickey Conley" was on the FNZ airwaves, and later 'morphed' into Michele Tafoya.

Jensen n Olsen.. Had to turn it off after 10 minutes and Brett Jensen giving azz analysis of the Hornets.

Then it becomes about Jensen wearing searsucker pants to a NASCAR tailgate and giggles. Id rather listen to PittBull and Keisha in a duet.

That's still not as bad as Marc going on and on about his time in MIA. Dang man, seriously.

I haven't really been listening to wfnz the past week. Memorial Day, work, and being this time of year have had something to do w/ it - but so has the programming. I wonder when they are going to bring someone in full time?

Doubt it's jenson because if he was that great they wouldn't have let him go a few months ago.

Sorry Marc with a "C" and Jensen with a "zzzzzz" is a push for me. Both equally unlistenable and annoying both in different ways.

Also I am not sure the Macaroni Grill will let Brett Jensen off the schedule to do a daily radio show.

Reminds me of one of my complaints about Jensen, that he spent too much time talking about food. He might have made a great food critic but he was a lousy sports analyst.

Still better than Marc James though, but not by much. If it's a 'gun to the head' choice between those two, I get shot.
