Oh man- this D-Line might be something after all

Meeks's past defenses we built on speed rather than bulk in the middle of the line, and Meeks offers hope today when he reminds us that he's never said, "this is how my defense works. You must play this style no matter what. " Instead, Meeks wants to play fast, and then he tailors what he does to the talent on hand.

We all should keep this in mind.... what was in Indy most likely wont be the exact same here...

we cant really say what will happen..some people dont take well to a person breathing down there neck.

You've got a point. Many people attribute Peppers' horrible 2007 season to him being disgruntled after Big Cat suggested he be more of a leader. Now, that might be rumor. I wonder if we'll ever know why he was so off that year?

Star player meet NORMAL coaching relationship....more hard-nosed motivation like this is what Peppers needs. If he doesn't motor on every play Meeks and Baker need to be on the sidelines in his face after every down.

I think Pep was more a victim of lame assignments on defense.....than not having a motor. I think if Pep is told to cut off anything comnig to his side and is playing more of a spy position.....he doesn't get out of position by pursuing where he "thinks" the play is going.

in 2007 he lost a lot of weight and I think we simply were not informed of the reality of what was going on w/ him. He has been too consistant outside of that one year regardless of what the new Pep haters say to think he randomly picked one year to drop weight and not try.
