Hornets Interested In Ennis and Hairston

Recommended Posts

Jrue was traded due to a circumstance called tearing sh*t up and starting from scratch.

Kemba is currently the only point guard on the roster and as Clifford has stated before, he doesn't go into the season without three point guards. I would be incredibly surprised if the Hornets overhauled the point guard group.

I think checking out Ennis is more of us just doing our due diligence, that way if we get Detroit's pick and he's the best player available we know what we are getting.

Having two good point guards on two sweet-heart contracts is something that can't be undervalued.

I get that.

But, what I'm saying is if you can 'upgrade' that position you do it. Tyler Ennis is a legitimate overall better PG than Kemba. Kemba is a two guard; a guard who is playing the Point. Ennis bring a complete game to the table. He was the heart of that Syracuse team this past season. The ball ran through him.

We all saw that this team can still win with or without Kemba on the court. We win and lose with defense and no other than "Al Jefferson"! Atm, the only players who you just cannot get rid of are Jefferson and MKG.

I really do not believe that Kemba is a Top15 PG in the NBA today compared to many fans on here. He's a top 20, but not 15: CP3, Westbrook, Curry, DRose, Lillard, Parker, Irving, Wall, Rondo, Williams, MCW, Holiday, Lowry, Dragic, Teague.

The NBA is different from the NFL. You need legitimate star potential players to compete for a Championship. Guys need to be individually talented and gifted themselves. Not like a WR (product) of a Brady, Manning, Brees, or Rodgers. NBA players need to be their own product. Kemba improved from his rookie year to his 3rd year, but not by much imo. Not a leap where it differentiate him from other pgs. His ceiling is George Hill.

Im not seeing much difference between Kemba and DJ Augustin. Im not talking about style of play, but what they can bring to the table. I think both are on the same level of abilities.

Of course, I'm not implying that we need to trade Kemba, but if we do somehow land the Detroit pick it would make a lot of sense. You take Ennis with the Detroit pick. Chicago, Houston, and Miami are three teams that could use Kemba as a backup or starting PG. If you could get their 2014 1st rd. + player(s) or future pick(s), maybe you do so.
