Can't wait to read Simmons's next article after the Celtics missed out, the Cavs landing #1 again, the lottery being rigged/rewarding the Cavs' incompetence, the potential LBJ back to Cleveland wrinkle.

Yeah, if it truly is a "lottery," it's time for the NBA to be investigated. No way the same team gets three #1 picks in four years.

Now, as far as us at #9? Everyone knows my biggest target has been Hairston, but I was thinking we would be picking more around the mid-to-late teens. But, if I'm right, Hairston is going to be a steal regardless of where he goes at this point. We need that scoring.

The Cavs jumped from #9 to #1 and the Pistons dropped from #8 to missing the lottery, so we got their pick via the Ben Gordon deal.

And this year we have Detroit's #9, our pick, and then Portland's pick (with the latter two coming in the 22+ range)?

I really want Hairston, you can say he may not be worth the 9 pick but the thing is can you honestly say anybody thats rated above him outside the top 5 will have a higher ceiling? I cant, at this point he still my favorite player. Aaron Gordon has no offensive game and we have plenty of raw guys like that already on the roster. Dont really see the other shooting guards beingg able to handle the physicality of the position. Hairston can be a starter down the road.
