Credit to them for trying to avoid that the best they can like we're all fools. Why is that so hard to admit. People didn't have difficulty accepting that for Lin. We wouldn't be human if that wasn't the case.

The thing about Manziel is I actually like the kid and I really can't grasp why people are so negative about him. I notice, especially in sports, how people can have an emotional attachment to a player whether it's negative or positive. I've seen post about how people hate him, wishes that he becomes a bust and so so. What I really don't understand is why. Does people have money invested whether he succeeds or fails? People tend forgot that these players, more so younger athletes are still young. They are out there enjoying themselves and why not. Life is too short.

They are negative because he comes off as a D-bag. Most people are not rooting for him to fail they simply think he will fail because he has poor character and a questionable skill set going into the NFL

As for enjoying themselves, that is perfectly fine but when you disrespect your opponent when doing so it is not cool.

It is very hard to like someone who rubs his greatness in your face and is there to mock you when you make a mistake.

I'm not one to be a thread killer, I know this is a big story, but can this thread please die?  I get all the Johnny Football news I want (or don't want) on SI.com, CBSSports, BR, FoxSports, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU, ESPN Deportes, ESPN Radio, ESPNews, and pretty soon it willbe on ESPN Classics.

Drake have no street cred, dude. The street don't know that name.  If Manziel were friend with Meek Mills or 50, then I'd give him props. You know, real rappers.

Ah yes, a man's creative attempt to express his soul through the wonder of music is worthless without having a name on the street.

In other news, if Manziel wasn't drafted by the Browns I think he'd be fine in the NFL.  Unlikely to be highly successful, but I think he could pull enough plays out of his ass to stick around as a starter.

THE NEXT MOTHER F*CKER WHO COMPARES JOHNNY MANZIEL TO CAM fuging NEWTON IS AN OFFICIAL PIECE OF poo IN MY BOOK

That poo is really pissing me.

Cam was 100x the player and got 100x more hate in the media

Manziel is a marginal 2-3 round talent who basks in the never ending Golden Calf Syndrome that plagues NFL Network and ESPN

Don't ever compare Johnny to Cam fuging Newton
