Marc James' last day at Wfnz today!

Did one of you guys call up Mac this morning and rip Marc James? Whoever it was was lobbying for Colin to get a shot. It was pretty funny and I immediately thought it was a Huddler. (Naturally)

 

I heard him and thought the same thing lol. I thought "this has to be SCP" but then when he didn't mention that he was sick of fans from other teams calling in, I figured it wasn't.

ESPN 730...it's fine I guess, but there's no compelling reason to switch to it. It's like these alternatives to ESPN that have cropped up or Bing compared to Google. Once you're in an established rhythm of listening to talk radio on one station like I am, there has to be a super compelling reason to get you to shake out of that for something new. That's why I never tried Bobby Rozinski even when faced with the Marc James alternative.

I sent DJ an email back in Feb, telling him I was done with the afternoon show til Marc was gone. He replied asking for me to give it a few more weeks and he had gotten several comments about how he had improved. I listened off and on and sent him a follow up this Tues basically saying the same thing as my first. He replied again defending James and bragging about him filling in on national shows. At the end of the email he said to tune in tomorrow (Wed) for something interesting. I figured he was trying to prove his point and Marc had won some kind of award or something. I was greatly surprised when I turned it on. I listened to about 5 minutes of his self tribute and turned it back off. Today, it is once again on in the office and so much better already.

 

I don't care who they get, it's got to be better than what they had. I did hear him say yesterday that his Mount Rushmore was Rome, Cowherd and nobody else. That is proof enough of the style he is after.

 

Oh yeah, sorry for the long first post. I've lurked for quite awhile, but I guess Marc packing his bags finally got me to join.

LoL, when he was on the national show that I saw he got made fun of and looked like a total joke. The picture he gave to the NFL channel was some glamour shots mug shot or something. He was turned slightly to the side with his head cocked at an angle. . . cheezy grin.

 

All of the tv personalities were laughing at him. too funny
