Huddle opinion..Hardy and J.R's tolerance level

Lmao! I swear people on here just love to sound smart. If there was low tolerance Smitty would have no legacy here. Nobody even knows what the hell even happened.

And plenty don't care.

To some, winning football games matters more than what happens in people's lives.

That's pretty pathetic.

If you think winning matters that much to them, then why do they stay away from guys with character issues?

If character matters so much why was Smith on the team up until this season? Why was Bridges brought back in 2012? Why was Brandon Hogan drafted after he was suspended in college for DUI?

Better Question: Why is Smith not on the team anymore?

Scot on his pedestal again.

Football players clearly get more slack than the rest of society. To try and counter by taking the supposed moral high ground and toss out the ole "you're taking a game too seriously! Durr!!!"

Nobody has endorsed what Hardy did. Nobody is saying Hardy wouldn't deserve anything that happened to him if the allegations are true. What people are saying is that it's a fact of life that celebs get leniency. That is a fact and trying to oppose it just to demonstrate to everyone how super super serial you are is the opposite extreme of the legions of dweebs who feel compelled to comment "but women beat men too!!" every single time one of these stories come out.

you're not seriously suggesting that character was the reason he was released despite the fact that he was kept after beating several teammates are you?

I'm still waiting on an answer for Bridges as well.  Also why is Frank Alexander still on the team?  Sure he may get cut at some point this year but why is it taking so long if it's just about character?

The Panthers have already met with Greg Hardy and his agent regarding the incident. Would love to be a fly on the wall for that one.

If I had to guess we're waiting on everything to calm down and see where this situation goes. Personally I believe he's gone. If he does stay the Panthers need to do what the Cowboys did with Dez Bryant and be strict as hell

Because the team is going to judge cases individually.  Bridges, Alexander, Hardy, etc.

To be clear, Bridges first incident was not a case of domestic violence.  He was involved a volatile situation and the team, it would appear, was satisfied with his explanation of things.  He was still let go a year later and was brought back after three years away for a total of three weeks and then let go again.

On the flipside, Chris Terry was a second round pick and a starter going into 2002, but a domestic violence charge got him his walking papers.

Regarding Smith, very few teams get through an entire training camp without a fight happening.  If you think there's some sort of moral equivalence between two football players fighting and a guy beating a woman...well, that's just sad.

Frank Alexander was already in the doghouse before his suspension.  Now, who knows?  the Hardy situation may actually have given him a reprieve.  Though it won't surprise me if he's ultimately gone too.
