Huddle opinion..Hardy and J.R's tolerance level

I am no lawyer but IMO a lot of this is positioning by the GF attorney to get to a civil case that will probably be settled.  I suspect he will plea down and things will go quiet.  Not sure what happens with him after 2014 but it looks like the winner in all of this, at least in the short term (2 years or so) is Charles Johnson.

as fans we or most of us are waiting, but JR cares more about the team and if history is any indication...Hardy might just be gone already.

That would be incredibly foolish to do at this point without knowing everything.

I think that's what Charles Johnson's "MOB" tweet yesterday was about. He was calling Hardy the bitch. More money for big money.

What history is that?

the Carruth and Fred Lane stories...ever since then JR has been wary of players that have any legal troubles. I know FL was not a problem, but JR would just rather not put up with any distraction if he can help it.

CAN we even void the tag at this point? Do we even have that ability?

We would have to trade him to a team like the Raiders. If we could somehow get a 2nd or 3rd next year out of it, that would be amazing.

Jeremy Bridges pointed a gun at a stripper and wasn't cut, got arrested again the next year and was released following the season only to be re-signed in 2012.  Unless he gets a significant sentence (which I don't believe is possible since its a misdemeanor) Hardy's talent will trump any distraction.  Especially since the distraction would go away immediately when the season starts.

A woman getting assaulted is a 'distraction'.

Tells me a lot...
