50% of my friends do that on the reg. and they are not crazy

I went camping in Montana with some guys who had exactly these things. However it was camping in bear country and it was Montana.

yea i have a friend who keeps his ar-15 in the back of his subaru while he roams the texan desert. he's as liberal as they come.

 

another that drives with his ak-47.

 

a bunch of other friends who carry pistols with them.  none of these people are crazy. but people with guns sometimes get a bad rep.

Looks more and more like nobody knows whata firearm is. Automatic weapons are illegal and I highly doubt Hardy owns any.

 

Automatic weapons are not illegal. You just need a $200 tax stamp and boatload of cash to buy one. And I believe it takes about 8 to 12 months for the Feds to process and approve after you apply for the stamp. It's also basically the same process for buying a suppressor.

 

Now, if you own an automatic weapon and don't have the proper paperwork, you're fuged.

It's about more than just having money. You have to be an arms dealer and it's still extremely hard to get the license.

So yes, they are banned from the general public.
