1 of our next 2 really are MUST WIN games.

lose the next 2 and we are at home for the playoffs.

With a win this week we are #1 seed.

With a Lose and a win next week we are a wilcard team.

All of our loses are in the NFC :?

Not quite true....we would have to lose our next two and have Dallas, TB, and Atlanta all win their next two to miss the playoffs.

if we beat the giats are we 100% for a home playoff game? if not what has to happen to make it 100% to get at least one home playoff game?

If we beat the Giants we are 100% home for all playoff games. Winning Sunday makes us the #1 seed guaranteed. The road to the Superbowl would go through Charlotte!

This is the Panthers we are talking about.

If anyteam can find a way to f*ck this up it's them.

Forgive me if I remain concerned ;)

I completely disagree. The Panthers under John Fox aren't a team that finds ways to f*ck up. This isn't Detroit, Arizona, Cleveland or Cincinnati, those teams find ways to f*ck up.

And you gotta love the AP (courtesy of the Charlotte Observer, who merely posted the article and didn't write it).

NFL Roundup: Steelers, Panthers win divisions with defense

The Carolina Panthers took their division title with another outburst of offense.

Of course, despite their scoring outburst, the Panthers needed some defense to clinch no worse than a tie for the NFC South title

Basically we need to win one more game to clinch the division, if we happen to beat the Giants we clinch home field and number 1 seed. If we lose to the Giants and beat the Saints we still clinch the division. We just need to win one more and hopefully it will be against the Giants.

    • I respect Deion but I said and thought immediately when he was hired there he would not be the coach after 3 seasons.  I don’t see it happening
    • If my reply comes off argumentative, that is not my intention so please don’t take it as such.  You said one word, probably subconsciously, in your post that immediately disqualifies him from being a QB in the NFL. You actually said it twice. Kid. It’s exactly how you see him, and exactly how the rest of the entire NFL sees him as well.  Yes, he is a kid, he looks and acts like a kid and that exactly IS the problem. The NFL is for grown ass men. Period. Hell, our kicker looks like he collects ‘taxes’ as a side hustle. These are straight dudes. Men.  Nothing in his persona changed from last year to this.  Nothing in his physical stature. Nothing. He has shown 0 development. 0. And he disrespects the entire organization, talking video games and Netflix in the offseason. Bro. Really. My man Chuba is busting his ass to look good for his second contract. Set himself up for life. How many RBs make it to even sign contract #3? First 2 games he has to run in to a brick wall continuously because Netflix can’t even get it over the LOS.  He’s a kid who pulled off the biggest heist in world history. He looks happier on the sideline goofing around than he ever has looked on the field. It’s time to cut bait.
    • I hear you and I can imagine it's frustrating as a fan, but UNC-CH leaving the ACC would be throwing away over a century of history. It would really suck if y'all, or Clemson, or any of the other remaining charter members leave. I still think it sucks that Maryland left as well. Feels so wrong not having that rivalry anymore. Maryland fuging hated us and I loved it. Who's Maryland's rival now in the big 10? Rutgers? lol. Also, I think that the Heels are more likely to be Kentucky 2.0 than you are to get serious about football upon joining the SEC. Both UNC (and also Duke's) administrations seem very stuck in their ways with sticking to their ways and remaining basketball powerhouses. I do wish we could see NC teams actually competing in my favorite sport sometimes but alas. I personally value keeping our history intact over trying to become top flight CFB programs because nowadays it's just a pay to win sport anyways. Even if UNC-CH got serious I doubt they could compete with that Texas oil money, or that Oregon nike money, or that USC rich kid money. That's all top level college football really is anymore. You're either an established blue blood or you're willing to waste tons of money that could be spent on education rather than football.
