Underwood 24 catches 45 targets 440 yards 4 TDs

Now as far as Benjamin, the rookies from last year I think he would most compare to

C Patterson 45 catches 78 targets 469 yards 4 TDs

D Hopkins. 52 catches 93 targets 802 yards 2 TDs

Averaging those two out

Avg 48.5 catches 85.5 targets 635.5 yards 3 TDs

Probably a fair expectation, but TDs could be a bit higher with KB because of his height.

Seems to me there is very little drop off from last year to this year as far as stats go. Of course it no guarantees that past seasons

performances will be repeated by the free agents, or that it's inconceivable that they may do better as Ginn did. Food for thought.

Keep in mind the QB situations in both Minnesota and Houston last year. My expectations are higher stat-wise for KB than what Patterson put up. Hopkins had a hell of a year though, I didn't know his stats were that good

Can't compare KB to Patterson at all. If anything compare to Hopkins and Terrence Williams. I think KB goes around 850 yards, 6-8 tds.

How the replacements performed statistically last year isn't how they will perform this year. It's a different dynamic.

Underwood should fit into the Ted Ginn role nicely. Not a fan that Avant only caught 50% of throws his way. Did not watch the Eagles must but that tells me he he is not able to make the tough catch.

My guess for KB Is 65 catches 85 targets 650 yards 7 TDs

He won't be targeted as much as smith, but probably will be productive in the red zone.

Much better to talk about football than speculating on assault.

Hard to believe Keary Colbert had the most successful rookie year of any WR we have ever had.

 

47 receptions for 754 yards and 5 TD's.

To me it all depends on how quickly KB picks things up. How many routes can he run right now? How hard is he willing to work to be a more complete WR? Will Cam trust him?

Too many questions for a real honest guess. So let's go with. 1st half of the year. 18 catches for 205 yards and 3 TDs. Then the 2nd half he explodes. 30 catches for 550 yards and 7 TDs.

1st half of the year he is a 1st down and RedZone target. 2nd half he starts becoming a true WR and contributes to our stretch playoff drive.

Comes in 3rd for OROY.

I'm tired of seeing these straight up production comparisons. The guys we signed were not no. 1, 2, or 3 like Smith, Lafell and Ginn were. They didn't see the best CBs like our receivers did. Most of the time they were facing dime CBs, or even OLBs. So you can just compare their numbers when the new receivers will be seeing tougher defensive players lacking the "star" receivers to draw coverage.
