Can the McNutt get some love?

The battle is on. Only Benjamin is guaranteed a spot. Even the Vets aren't. I think this time we have a better cast of characters (this ought to bring out the clowns) to choose from.

This. Every WR except KB will be fighting for a roster spot during training camp and preseason. I think Cotchery is likely pretty safe, but certainly no untouchable.

My picks:

KB

Cotchery

Avant

Underwood

King OR McNutt

Philly Brown (returner)

King is basically the only WR we have that can get behind the defense. He ran a 4.47 at the combine but was a vertical threat in college. For that reason alone I think he makes it. I see many flanker screens involving him and Benjamin this season.

Underwood is a vertical threat. He averaged 18.3 ypc last year

I'm sure if he was in this year's draft class a lot of people would want us drafting him. He makes a lot of circus catches.

Yes he can.

I had an erection lasting over 4 hours after he caught that ball out of bounds and nearly had to seek medical help.

i think this group is going to be a more reliable group than Smitty, LaFell, Ginn and Hixon.

He had the prettiest out if bounds catch that I've seen in a while.

Hope that counts for something.

It doesn't.

The difference between McNutt and the rookies is McNutt has had the opportunity to make an impact in the NFL already, and didn't.

Everyone clamoring to draft or bring in Coleman......McNutt is significantly better than Coleman.

If King or McNutt were drafted by us this year, all of you would be talking about how great a draft it was and how they will be very solid additions to the WR corp.

They were drafted by two teams with very deep WR corps.....and both teams tried to stash them away.

We brought them in behind Smith, LaFell, and Ginn....they were going to get little playing time behind these guys during our run last year.

Both are as good if not better than any WR we would take in the 4th -7th rounds this year.

So they could not make the squad on two other teams and could not get playing time on the panthers 28th ranked offense either?

Not holding my breath.
