The Leftovers - New HBO Show

Considering the majority thinks The Voice is quality entertainment.... I am not so sure being in the minority is a bad thing.

I'm pretty sure nobody has ever tried to argue that The Voice > The Wire. Minority, majority, whatever. Comparing The Wire to The Voice would be like matching a pro team with a squad full of high school cheerleaders.

Season One is the non-boring one. I finished that in a matter of days. Try season two. Took me like a month to finish after forcing myself through.

I might get around to it one day, but I'm watching way too many other great shows right now to give a damn about The Wire. I think I stopped 5-6 episodes in. It was just painful. I'm not discrediting the acting, or even the plot ... just the pacing.

Season One was so riveting in my eyes. The whole dynamic between the characters was brilliant.

Season Two was god awfully boring. Just a bunch of white people doing white people sh*t.

Watched the pilot last night. I liked it. Not sure why it was so confusing for everyone.

Well watch episode two then answer these:

1. Is the chief actually a chief? Or is he the town crazy everyone tolerates?

2. Is the tobacco chewing bald guy a figment of his imagination? After episode 2, ask yourself if his daughter and her friend are so used to him talking to imaginary people, that they took the beer from the chief's hands, not the bald guy's.

3. What is the overall theme of the show? Is there a religious overtone?

4. If it's not the rapture, why did some people leave and some didn't?

5. What's the point of the GR (Guilty Remnant)? Does their name speak volumes?

6. What's up with the OTHER cult/group? After episode 2, you'll see they're an interesting lot.

7. Is that other cult leader the devil? Christ? Neither? Just a pedo?

8. Why doesn't the GR talk? Why do they chain smoke?

9. After you see episode 2, who was the chief's dad talking to at the psych ward? He said someone was sent to help his son. Is this the bald guy?

10. What's with killing all the dogs? Is there more to it than just stray packs roaming about?

11. Did the chief actually hit the deer like he dreamed he did and let it loose in his house?

What? I think you need to look up "confusion" in the dictionary. I followed what was going on on the screen. I just have questions as to what's going on with the plot ... thus, confusion. Not sure what you think we ment here.

Why would they answer season arcs in the second episode of the season? Things take time to unfold and you have to keep watching to find out. Now go get your hot pocket.

Duh. Of course they're going to keep us guessing. I don't want answers right away. I like being in the dark.
