My wife and I used to go to Suite once in a while back several years ago. Hardy was there one night with a group of friends. He'd bought a VIP table, but was down on the dance floor, leaning against the DJ booth just kind of surveying the scene. This was right after his first good season, before he really blew up. I said hello and that I was glad to have him on the team, and was expecting big things from him. He was obviously a quiet guy, but we talked for a few minutes about the season and his plans to really step up his game. While we were talking, my wife walked up to find me and I introduced them. She had no idea who he was, but now knew he was a football player, and had noticed that the club whores had started circling us, so in her slightly inebriated state, she offered up, "You seem like a good guy, watch out for these skanks, they're nothing but trouble!" He chuckled and said he would, and we wished him luck on the season and left.

 

Last night when I told her about what had happened with her 'buddy' Greg Hardy, her response was, "I tried to tell him!" Followed by the obligatory, "I hope he didn't do it..." and "If he did do it he should go to jail..."

 

On a different note, I've noticed 'Panthering' Greg is back on the lake scene. I wondered how long it would take him to resurface.

When I use to drink.....I got drunk with Mooses Mom at the Birmingham airport coming home from the Superbowl in Houston.....she told me right there at the bar Moose was going to Chicago to play the following year...that was 1 day after the superbowl.  I knew then teams talked way before the offseason.   I was devastated...then I pissed my pants and was not allowed on the plane....but I believe that had more to do with the shots of patron than anything else....

 

I'm 8 years sober now...thank God!  LOL

 

Not sure Mooses mom got drunk though....she was sipping on White wine.....but...that's my story...so I'm sticking to it.
