ESPN's Power Rankings has Panthers falling more than anyone.

David Newton is reporting about the newest ESPN power ranking, and the panthers have taken quite a tumble.  Now, to be honest, I feel about power rankings the same way I feel about all this stuff (mocks, draft grades, etc.), but the truth will all come out in the wash.

The Carolina Panthers lost their starting left tackle to retirement, their top four wide receivers as a result of being cut or signed by other teams in free agency, three-fourths of their secondary in free agency and their franchise quarterback for four months to recover from ankle surgery.

So it is no surprise that the reigning NFC South champions lost a lot of spots inESPN.com's post-draft Power Rankings

They lost more spots than any other team in the league. Eight to be exact, all the way to No. 11

it looks like they're knocking us for our receiving corps (surprise, surprise)! But, I'm with Newton, because I believe the receiving corps will actually be better than advertised.  At least we have a couple of sure-handed possession receivers that can at least catch the ball. And, our ability to get the ball in the end zone should increase exponentially in the red zone.  If one of the other younger WRs takes flight, then that's going to catch a lot of people by surprise.

It's all about the Benjamins, right?  Not really, It's all about the defense.  But Benjamin's time is gonna come.

I don't even know how to respond to that. I guess you proved a point, somehow?

Would you say that about really bad GMs like Matt Millen?

Point is, you are making an appeal to authority. That is a logical fallacy.
