I think that Josh Johnson will be a good backup to Cam. I'm sure that he can replace Joe Webb. I don't have a lot of faith in Joe Webb as a QB, although I think that he was brought in just to fill in while Cam is out. Josh Johnson was just cut by the Bengals.

If its just because he is mobile, then no.

If were were some college team where our QB had to be mobile to fit the system, the sure. While Cams scrambling and designed Runs are awesome, our offense doesn't defend on that. I believe it depends on a QB who is consistent and makes good decisions

Yeah to be honest we don't really have an offense tailored to Cam as a runner. We have some plays but its not an entire system.

I actually like Josh Johnson.

 

One of my friends is a Bengal's fan so I watched all of their preseason games last year.

 

He's a solid player but apparently he tended to struggle to pick up some of the Bengal's offensive concepts.

Jason Campbell is also on the Bengal's roster and is in danger of getting cut if they only keep two (Dalton, McCarron)

Yes, 30 and has been in the league 10 years. Yes he knows the system but very seldom plays/throws. Even on the few plays that Cam has left the game, he just handed the ball off. In any case, it's a good time to think about his replacement.

Nothing is wrong with Anderson, he's got a strong arm and he knows our playbook. Not to mention him and Cam get along well. He's our Billy Volek.
