There's no way we're carrying 5 RB's on the 53

Williams is overpaid, wrong side of the 30.

Stewart is overpaid, wrong side of the 30.

Barner and Gaffney are the future with the same production. Both were outstanding in college, two different types of backs.

It seems stupid now to have geffney, but isn't it frustrating to have so kind much money tied up in RBs? Well my friends, here are your cheap, effective replacements.

I'm pretty sure stewart is 27.

I would think if we cut anyone it would be Brockel and yes we are carrying 5 backs on the roster. We may carry 6 if the coaches don't feel Gaffney can fill Tolbert's role at the FB/RB role and keep Brockel for 1 more year. But we are carrying 5 backs.

I bet we take William's contract in the chin and cut him

That would be the ideal situation. Have Gaffney just focus on RB his rookie year instead of filling in Tolberts role in case he needs a breather or gets hurt and keep Brockel for an extra year.

We list Brockell as a TE. He only has to replace Armond Smith to be the 5th RB

We've always listed him as that, but he's also the backup FB

And he can continue to do so while Gaffney just replaces Smith on Special Teams. Thats all he has to do to make the roster.

I seriously dout it. we are talking about guys who were once elite talents. even at this point your putting a lot of faith into guys who barely got drafted.

Lol stewaarlt isn't elite on the side line. And its not like Dlo lights it up. Production bud. Don't need two 1st rounders

Can't cut them, produces dead money, that eats up cap space.....without any hope of player production.

A late round rooking runinng back is almost never immediately thrusted into starting position, and when he is he is almost never as productive as other more talented earlier picks. No one can say why he was drafted, because honestly it was dumb af considering we only have 2 tackles on our roster. So people crack me up trying to logically reason out a move that reallly has no basis to have been made. It was simply a dumb pick.

You wouldn't know until you let them play. One of our our big money backs are gone soon. Bank it whether you prefer it or not.

You're talking semantics here. He's making the roster. The question is if we'll cut DWill or Brockel . If we cut Brockel, he'll also have to prepare to fill Tolbert's role when he needs a breather or gets hurt. If we cut DWill, he doesn't have to worry about that his rookie year.

Agreed. The "Gettleman knows all" mentality has got to go. He's been here two years and he's done some pretty dumb sh*t, but people here act like he's some sort of messiah and he can do no wrong.

Sure, he's done some good things as well, but his best signing last year was Ted Ginn and he didn't even try to resign him. Same goes for some other key, instrumental players from last year.

And I don't care how people try to make sense of cutting Steve Smith, but it was an idiotic move unless something went down behind the scenes. People try to play the "Oh but we signed Jerricho Cotchery" schtick, but do they fail to realize that he's just as old, nearly just as expensive, yet less productive?

Gettleman has made some shitty moves, and drafting Star, which I'm sure Hurney and 31 other GMs in the league would've done in our position, does not automatically make the man a god.

Lol. What has he dine that's proven dumb? U mad cause he isn't buddy buddy with your favorite over priced over valued players? Lol fug that. I wana win
