Williams' clock is about out. Can't say that about any other RB.

He is 31, expensive....and average.

It still amazes me that people think we can get rid of Stewart this year. Deangelo, maybe. But his dead money will bite us in the ass next year I believe if he's a June 1st cut this year. 

 

The only way I see us carrying 5 is if Barner becomes our primary return guy and sticks that way. Gaffney could maybe be on the practice squad as opposed to someone getting cut? Or, ties are cut with Deangelo sooner than expected and the team rolls with Tolber/Barner/Gaffney and hopefully Stewart. I refuse to hold out hope in Stewart ever producing consistently again however.

Actually, I think Gaffneys size and versatility could make Brockel expendable.

 

Got to get through camp with no injuries first though.

Barner will be the odd man out. When we move on from doubletrouble, we'll just sign or draft a new rb, not that hard to find running backs now a days so people saying Barner is the future is crazy
